*Niall’s POV*
“I really thought something could happen! Why did I let it get this far? I knew it would end like this! I fell for him before we even talked!” she wailed.
“I know love. But it’s not your fault. Don’t blame yourself. Please don’t,” I begged her over the phone.
“Niall... I’m such an idiot...”
“No you’re not. Don’t even think that. You are not an idiot. You just a loving person.”
“That’s my problem Niall... at least I’ve got you to talk to. You’re an amazing friend Niall.”

Friend...
Just a friend. I want to be so much more than just friends with her. But if friends is all I can be with her I’ll take it.
“Well you’re amazing too. Don’t let him bring you down,” I begged her.
“I just... I feel stupid and naive for falling for him. I mean how can it just be one day he wants to try things and then three days later he’s telling me he doesn’t want a relationship?!”
“Hey calm down love...”
“Can I come over? For a sleepover? Ya know... girly movies and ice cream? And chocolate?” she proposed. I chuckled softly to myself.
“Of course love. You bring the movies, I’ve already got chocolate and ice cream.”
“Thanks Niall. You’re the best. I’ll be there in 10,” she told me.
“Great.”
“Love you Ni.”
“Love you too Y/N...” if only she could see that unlike her, I don’t mean I love her as a friend. I genuinely love her. I want to protect her from guys. I’d never mislead her or make her broken. I love her too much.
