Chapter Twenty-Nine

Lolly's Pov

   It had been a few days since our run in with Soren and everyone was still a bit gloomy. Everyone except for Fuu of course. She seemed like she was never mad. I of course could see that they were shell shocked. 

   I knew of Soren's power first hand but they finally got a taste of what he's like. We were just a few days away from where we were to meet up with Masamune still and yet again we were on the road. "Man, how much loooonnnnngerr?" Fuu whined. 

   Looking over to my best friend I couldn't help but smirk at her childish attitude. "We're still a few days away Fuu. That battle with Soren put us back." I replied. Shikamaru snorted at the name Soren.

   He was still ruffled about what Soren had said to him. I could understand, I was angry at Soren as well. However he was gone and we were all more or less unharmed. 

   "This is booorrring!" Fuu sighed. Neji beside her rolled his eyes slightly and took her hand, "Just be patient. We'll have plenty to do when we get to where we're going." Neji assured her. Fuu looked at him and smiled brightly. I couldn't help but gush slightly. In all honesty I used to think that Fuu would never get a guy to love her.

   When I first met her she used to be a very tough girl that hated nearly everything in the world. Now she was just so peppy and happy most of the time. It really was quite shocking.

   It had been a week since Fuu had saved me from that gang and Kirara had turned into a vegetable. She was sitting on a branch in a tree pouting since her sensei had taken her out of training because she hurt her team mate.

   I mostly hung around Fuu since she seemed to keep me from wanting to recede into my mind for good. She kept me grounded for the most part and I was grateful to her for that. 

   I was under the branch she was sitting in and I was quite content to sit there as well. She of course was fuming but that was normal. "Alright training's over. You're dismissed." Her sensei said as he then disappeared. 

   Fuu huffed and dismounted from her tree branch right in front of me. "Didn't I tell you to quit following me?" She snapped. I shrugged at her. She had told me many times but I never listened.

   Fuu just rolled her eyes and walked away with me at her side. "I don't get it, why don't you run away from me?" She asked. I shrugged, "You saved me so... I owe you."

"Loll, you don't owe me anything."

"Yes I do."

"No you don't."

"Yes I do."

"No."

"Yes."

"Ugh... fine then you can repay me by doing what I ask of you."

   I looked up to Fuu  and then nodded. Then I felt a hand on my head, "You're in for a hell of a time kid." She grinned. I smiled back at her. I had just made another friend.

   "Heeeeyyy! Earth to Lolly!" Fuu whined while she knocked on my head. I shook my head and then looked at her with a quirked eyebrow. Fuu just shrugged her shoulders and smiled at me. "You're weird." I said. Fuu gasped and pretended to be hurt.

   "Alright, we're settling here for the night." Shion said as we came up to a hot spring relaxation place. Fuu's eyes sparkled as she looked at it, "YES!" She cried and then grabbed my arm. She went hurtling toward it while I screamed helplessly behind her.

   She finally got to the doors and had to stop running and I was thankful since I fell to the ground. "Y-you're a demon..." I panted. Fuu grinned and stuck her tongue out at me. Soon enough the others caught up with me and then we all went and checked in.
