The cool air wrapped around her and she finally felt like she could breathe again.

What is wrong with you Val!? Pull yourself together.

She understood the cliche.
The good(ish) girl subconsciously falling for the bad boy.
But no. Valerie wasn't about that.
Plus she wasn't a good girl so it didn't make sense. She was supposed to fall for a nice college guy who showed her what life was all about.
But Alec also showed her a new version of life. A calm voice broke through her thoughts.
"Um, excuse me?" She turned to find a guy who looked like a more grown up version of Evan Peters. He had dirty blonde hair that was pulled back and he wore a varsity jacket.
"Hey, something wrong?" She asked.

"Oh, no... I mean, like, you just seemed a little... Sad or something." He shrugged, sheepishly, "I don't know..." He trailed off. Valerie smiled at him. He seemed like a sweet guy, awkward but in a cute way.
"Oh yeah... The party just got a bit much I guess."

"Fair enough. So wait, aren't you the girl who was selling earlier?"

"Valerie," she offered her hand, "Nice to meet you."

He snickered, "Kyle. You don't really look like the kinda girl who'd sell... No offence." He took her hand.

"I agree. But my mums gonna be broke soon so I've gotta get all the cash I can." She confided, though she didn't know why. Suddenly she felt the alcohol go straight through her head.

"Ever watched American Horror Story?"

"Briefly." Kyle replied.

"What did you get scared of all the monsters?" She teased.

Kyle put his hands up in a merciful manner, "More the amount of blowjobs in the first season!" They both laughed at each other.

"Well, you look like Evan Peters in the third season. Pretty sure his name was Kyle too!" Val laughed how only drunk people laughed.

"You're really beautiful." He said sheepishly and out of no where.
Before she could thank him or even reply--an dark figure popped up.
"Isn't she just?" She already recognised the voice.
"Oh, dude, I'm so sorry are you her boyfriend?" Kyle asked politely.

"No--" Valerie tried.

"Maybe a little less questioning and a little more leaving? That's if you don't want a black eye in the morning."

Kyle put his hands up again and muttered some kind of false apology before reluctantly walking back into the party.
"You're such a dick, Alec."

She turned away to go to the party but he firmly caught her arm.
"Do not call me that, Valerie." The seriousness in his eyes frightened her, not to mention the fact he addressed her by her real name.
Her breath became short.
He pulled her into a luxurious looking room filled with attractive people who were all over each other.
His hand was still wrapped around her arm--definitely hard enough that she was going to have a mark there--as he led her into a corner of the dark red walled room.
"This room is drug selling central." He murmured into her ear. This guy was so confusing. One minute he's about to tear Kyle's throat out and the next he's back to teasing her.
She cautiously took her arm back and the look on Alec's face told her he hadn't realised he was doing that.
They sat into a leather couch in the shadows of the room. It was like a party edition of a gentlemen's club... Except, it wasn't. Girlfriends were on top of their men, girls were on girls, boys on boys. And a large group of people danced sensually with each other.
The whole vibe made Valerie inch away from Alec--making sure his mind was staying in the PG category.
He grinned at her action.
"Okay, who're we selling to?"
He shrugged.
"Everyone...no one..."

Val quieted her eyebrow up.
"What?"

"I just wanted you in here." He purred, nearing her.

"I don't mix business with pleasure." She managed as she pulled herself up.
Scanning the room of potential customers she said, "Give me your pills."

"Angel, we're supposed to sell them." He said obviously knowing what she really meant. Valerie rolled her eyes.
He pulled the bag of black and white pills out.

Soon, the bag was empty except for one. After flying around the room, butting in to a few danced and conversations the crowd had practically drained the bag. She stood in front of the still-seated Alec, waving the empty bag in his face.

"Fuck you, Beast boy." She said with humour. He faked hurt.
"Don't be that way, princess."

"Where's angel gone?"

"Angels don't drain drug bags." He said standing up and making her lose her power of height.

"Besides, don't you want to be my princess?"

"Sure, yeah, we can talk about that if you join the line of all the other people who want me to he 'their princess'" She chuckled.

"What about..." He said tapping his chin in thought. His eyes twinkled and a devious smile played on his lips, "Daddy's princess."

Valerie smacked him on the arm, hard.

"Aww, not a daddy kink girl?" He mocked. "I thought all you tumblr kids were about the whole 'daddy's princess, Babygirl' thing."

A group of people started chattering more than they had the whole night.
Someone interesting had arrived.

"Ah well, I guess I'm uncool now." He continued.
When Valerie glanced over her shoulder the face of a nightmare came to greet her.

Alessandra.

"Shit." Valerie swore. She'd looked away before she made eye contact.

"Hey Al, you see that white haired girl?"

He made a sound of confirmation.
"Is she coming this way?"

"Right to the couch opposite us."

"Shit!" She whisper shouted.
Many things could go wrong by Alessandra beady eyes landing on her.

A) Val was underage
B) she was dealing
C) She was supposed to stay out of trouble after juvee

What should I do? Shittttt. What the hell would Ghandi do? Nah, he'd just inspire people and face his fears.

Fuck facing fears.

When her snaky voice came up behind her--chatting to some guy--Valerie panicked and her reflex action was...

Alec fell back onto the couch when Valerie slammed him with a kiss.
