[Ethan]

"I didn't knew you know Blake-kun!" Maya excitedly held my hand, and I simply looked at her. She was smiling widely, and even though she looks happy she's scaring me at the same time.

I just met her today, and she's sort of driving me crazy. I don't think I've met anyone who's so.. out there like her or maybe today's just my lucky day.

I've encountered a weird person - Blake, and another weird person - Maya.

Or maybe it's because this is the first time I've had someone talked to me with intentions of being my friend.

I instantly frowned at that thought, making Maya's smile drop.

"Hey, you alright?"

"huh?"

She let go of my hand, leaning closer to me. "I'm being too loud, aren't I?"

I gave a tight smile, "Not..really."

She sighed, laughing to herself before leaning back on her seat.

I grabbed the water bottle in-front me, taking a sip and my eyes never leaving her. She's too quiet all of a sudden.

Did I offend her?

I internally groaned, as I placed back the bottle on the table. I'm not really good with human interactions. While Maya was busy with her internal thinking, I was also having an internal battle with.. myself.

Should I say something? Should I buy her another sandwich?

With that last thought in mind, I got up. She looked up at me, "I'm going to buy something. Be right back!"

The same old lady smiled at me, as I randomly grabbed the first sandwich I saw.

With the paid sandwich in hand, I went back to Maya who has now slouched back on the seat.

"Uhm.. here you go." I timidly offered the sandwich to her, sitting on my seat again.

Maya's smile was back on again, before she chuckled. "Thanks Ethan. Even though I don't know why you bought this."

I rubbed my neck, not able to look fully at her. "You suddenly became quiet.."

She accepted the sandwich,"Thanks anyways."

I cleared my throat as I looked at my watch, "I'm having my next last class soon."

Maya got up, putting the sandwich in her bag, "Me too. Let's go."

With that said, we went to our last class together. Except Maya had more classes, leaving me to go home alone.

"Is it okay if I ask for your number?" Maya randomly asked once we've exited the classroom.

Maya has somewhat calmed down the last hours. I didn't know what happened, but atleast this shows she isn't overly hyper all the time. She's okay. And she did help me out on my first day. Another helpful person I've met, yet she's somehow connected with Blake.

Ignoring that thought, I gave her my number.

"Okay. Got it. See you tomorrow?"

I gave a nod. With a small wave, she left for her class leaving me on my own.

After walking a distance, my phone started vibrating. Upon checking I saw that it was my mom.

"Hello mom."
