I like you~ [On Hold]

Prologue

Staring at that tree outside, I realized  that it was shedding it's leaves. It was already autumn when my parents broke the news to me. 

We were moving again. Nothing new to me, except it was in another state. It was in another country. 

Japan. 

I've only heard of that place because of animes. I was more on the anime culture rather than the country that produces and creates them. 

I didn't knew how to react because this is most defintely different.

And I'm going to heading off to Uni and then they tell me this. I tried suggesting that I live on my own, and they wouldn't hear it especially my mom. I took a guess that this has something to do with my older brother..

"You alright Than?" My mom smiled at me through the rearview mirror, and I smiled back. Instead of fighting it over with them I decided to accept the changes. Then again, my whole life all I did was accept changes as I kept quiet. 

"It'll be fun Than. You'll get to experience another new culture." My dad tried cheering me up. I'm sure to others it seems like my parents is treating me like a Kid, but to be honest I was happy with the attention I was getting. 

It wasn't like this when I was born though. It all changed because of my Older brother. 

I sighed leaning on the window glass. I tried closing my eyes trying to remember good memories I had in America. 

None came to mind. I was a loner, and I didn't have friends because of us moving all over the country. The only fun times would be when my parents would take me out somewhere to hang out.

"I guess it doesn't matter if I move to another country then, since no one will be missing me." I mumbled to myself as I hummed a random tune in mind. 

[After the long hours of the flight. JAPAN!]

"You excited?" My mom grinned, as she grabbed her handbag and placed it on the pushcart. 

I shrugged as I helped out my parents with the rest of the bags. They were just a few, since the rest of our baggage was coming in through another airplane. 

Looking around my eyes became aware of letterings that I was familiar with. Kanji. 

Once we've exited the Airport, I couldn't help but feel excited. I mean we are in another country, and it's Japan. It's happening. 

I tried to look at the positive side. I noticed a few Japanese people looking at me, and two girls even stared at me before giggling and looking away. 

I raised an eyebrow, "What's that about?"

My thoughts were cut off when my mom grabbed my arm, "I see our names. That must be the driver they've sent to pick us up."

The driver who came to pick us up worked for the company my parents were currently employed at. He tried small talk with my parents, and I can't help but cringe at his english. 

I wasn't judging. Kudos because he tried, but at the same time he failed. 

I wanted to give the driver a pat for his efforts. 

"We're here!" My mom excitedly announced, as she quickly got out of the car, along with my dad.

While I took my time getting out as my excitement earlier slowly decreased. 

The apartment looks alright. 

I looked around as I surveyed the neighbourhood I'll be staying for now. I'm giving this place six months, tops. 

"Come on honey. I want to try the restaurant we just passed earlier. " My mom called out, as they carried the bags inside. 

Before I could move another step a piece of paper was shoved to my face. I stared at it before taking it. 

"I enrolled you online to the nearest Uni here. I'm sure you'll love it. You can go tomorrow and fix your schedule, but I've already selected a few classes for you. " My dad gave me a quick explanation, before patting my shoulder and following mom. Leaving me in complete silence as I studied the brochure in my hand. Thank god there's english. 

Internally sighing I face-palmed myself as I tried releasing the building anxiety in my system.

I chuckled quietly. 

"Welcome to Japan Ethan." I whispered, smiling to myself.
