Chapter 3

Chapter 3:


I stayed home Thursday because I was sick. After every period Zach called me to check up. He's always been the caring type though. I walked downstairs to make me some hot tea and ramen noodles and found no tea bags.

Ugh.

I walked out the front door into my car and drove off to the store. On the way there I saw Starbucks. Yes! I stopped at Starbucks and got me a venti chocolate chip frappachino.

I got to the store and saw my mother there.

"Mom?" I asked.
"Oh, hey sweetie! I heard that you were sick and you stayed home so I came here to get you some medicine, tea bags, more ramen noodles since I know you like them when your sick, and Nutella." Mom said.
"Thanks." I said.

I drove back home and fixed me ramen noodles and tea. I walked back upstairs to watch Thor and eat.

*Friday morning*

I got in the shower for school and when I got out I got dressed. I got done early and went to Starbucks.

I got to school and finally Zach's car wasn't there in my spot. Everybody knows that's my spot. I called it last year. I got out and walked in.

"SUPRISE!" Everybody yelled.
"Huh?" I asked.
"It's your birthday!" Megan said.
"Oh! Right! It is!" I said forgetting.
"Thanks!" I quickly added.

I totally forgot it was my birthday...

"Are we still on for tonight?" I asked Zach.
"Yea! Totally!" He said.

I winked at him and went to my 1st period class.

The day went by pretty fast. I went back home and grabbed my over night clothes with the clothes I was going to change into.

As I was walking out the door to head to Megan's my mom stopped me.

"Where do you think you're going?" She asked me.
"To a friends house?.." I said.
"No, you are not going." Mom said.

She swung her arm trying to hit me but I moved. She's drunk. On my birthday.

I got to Megan's and walked in the door.

"I'M HOME!" I yelled.
"Hi sweety!" Jen said.

Jen is Megan's mom by the way.

I walked to Megan's room and walked in.

"Hey best friend!" I said.
"Oh! Hi!" Megan said.

We got ready and before you know it Keaton was here.

I was wearing skinny jeans, a blue shirt with a white scarf, and silver sandals. My hair was curled too. I walked down stairs to find Zach in a black button up shirt, jeans, and black Levi's.

He smiled at me and I blushed.

"Beautiful." Zach said.
"Thanks." I said.

We got into the car and went to the theater.

"CATCHING FIRE!" I yelled as I ran up to buy my ticket.
"Umm... Wow. Okay..." Megan said.

We got our tickets and went to consession to get food.

"1 medium popcorn, 1 large blue slushie, 1 box of milk duds, and 1 bag if twix." I told the cashier lady.
"That will be 25.00 dollars." She told me.
"DAMN!" I yelled handing her the money.

Zach and I walked to the theater.

"Lilly, I need to talk to you." Zach said.
"Sure, what about?" I asked.

All the sudden my lips were locked with his and nothing, I mean nothing was bothering us.

It was a perfect moment.

I never wanted it to end.

But of course SHE, out of all people came.

Bothering.
