Chapter 16:
"What are you doing here?" Zach spat at Jeff.
"Mom called me." Jeff said.
"Don't you dare call her 'mom'. You were never here. You don't have the right." Zach said.
"I do too have the right!" Jeff yelled.
Zach had enough. He swung his arm to hit Jeff but I got in the way of it. His fist hit my jaw. I grabbed my jaw with my hand. "Lilly, I'm sorry..." Zach said with a sad face.
"Just go. Get away from me. Go upstairs." I half yelled.
"Please." Zach said.
"No. Go." I said pointing upstairs. "You need to go calm down."
He walked upstairs. Jeff got up and went to the freezer. He grabbed a bag of corn and gave it to me. "Thanks." I said.
"You're welcome."
"So, tell me. Why were you gone during your guys's childhood." I said sitting down.
"Mo-, Jen and my dad split up and he took me and I never seen her or Meg and Zach again." Jeff said sitting down.
"So, why are you back in Ohio?"
"I've always been in Ohio. I came back because I wanted to see my mother and catch up with some old friends."
"Oh." I said getting up. "I'm going to check on Zach."
"Wait." He said getting up.
He was in front on me. He stepped closer. Then closer. Jeff put his lips onto mine. "Lilly?" I heard someone say behind me.
Oh no.
I think it's Zach.
I turned around.
I was right. It's Zach.
"He kissed me! It was him!" I said pointed to Jeff.
"But you kissed back." Zach said. I started to cry.
"Zach! I didn't mean it! I swear. He came on to me!" I said starting to bawl.
"Save it. I never would have guessed you would have cheated on me." Zach said running upstairs.
I fell down on my knees and cried. Jeff put his arm on my back. "GET OFF OF ME. YOU DID THIS. YOU. NOT ME. YOU. YOU SON OF A BITCH." I yelled.
Jen walked in. "What's going on?" She asked.
"Jeff kissed ME and Zach saw and now he thinks I kissed him and I think we are broken up." I said crying into Jen's shoulder.
"Jeff? Why did you do that? You know Zach and Lilly are dating." Jen said patting my back.
"Were." I corrected her.
"Jeff, go upstairs and tell your brother that it was your fault and that you are sorry." Jen said.
"But he'll kick my ass!" Jeff yelled.
"I don't care. Go. Now." Jen said.
Zach's POV-
I can't believe she would do that! There was a knock on the door. "What do you want?" I yelled. The door opened.
"Oh hell no. Get out." I yelled at Jeff.
"Don't blame Lilly. It was all it me. I'm sorry." He said.
"You made me punch Lilly in the face and now you break us up? What the hell is wrong with you man?" I asked pissed.
I got up and punched him in the face. Nothing could stop me now. Lilly is not up here so I just kept punching him in the face.
"STOP!" Someone yelled. I stopped. I looked up. Lilly.
"Really? This is what you do? You just made everything worse!" She yelled.
"Lilly he-" I said.
"Don't even. Zach, I came up here to talk to you and see if we were okay since I DIDNT KISS HIM. But I think we need a break. I think you need awhile to calm down." Lilly said
"No! Lilly, I need you. Please." I begged.
"No." She said and helped Jeff up and walked out.
Why am I such an idiot? I punched the wall and left a dent.
Shit.
Lilly's POV-
I got out the bag of corn and gave it to Jeff. "Just because I'm being nice to you doesn't mean I'm not still mad at you." I said sitting down.
"I know. I'm sorry for everything." Jeff said. "Please forgive me."
"Depends." I said and got up and sat on his lap.
He looked at me. "Depends on what?" He asked.
"If you'll kiss me or not." I said. He leaned in and placed his lips on mine.
He pulled back. "What was that for?" He asked.
"You're a really good kisser and plus, you're cute." I said.
"Cute?" Jeff asked.
"Yea, cute." I said and kissed him again.
