Chapter 14:

"Lilly." I said shaking his hand.
"Nice to meet you." He said as I blushed.

Why am I blushing? I'm dating Zach. The guy I always liked. LILLY PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER.

"What do you want?" Jeff asked me.
"Huh? Oh sorry. I want a chocolate chip frappachino please." I said pulling myself out of my trance.
"I'll be right back." He said touching my shoulder.

He came back with my drink. "Thanks." I said.
"No problem. Anytime, maybe we could go out sometime by ourselves?" He said.
"Um. I have a boyfriend." I said.
"Oh, who?" He asked.
"Zach." I said.
"Zach who?" He asked.
"Zach Smith." I said.
"The name sounds familiar." He said.

It was time to leave. Finally.

"I had a nice time." Jeff said kissing my cheek. I moved away from him.
"Boyfriend." I said.
"Sorry." He said.
"Bye." I said walking away.

I got into the car and Megan started it. "So what do you think of Jeff?" She asked.
"He was cute and very flirty but I'm dating Zach." I said.
"True.. True.. Trent was cute though wasn't he?" She asked.
"No, ewe." I said.
"I think he was. He asked if I would go out with him sometime this week." She said.
"Oooh girl get it. Haha." I said.
"Haha." She laughed.
"Jeff said that Zach's name sounded familiar. Jeff also has the same last name as you guys." I said.
"Smith is a common last name. Maybe Jeff and Zach were friends at one point." Meg said.
"Yea maybe. Hey, you wanna get pedicures?" I asked.
"Sounds great!" She said.

2 hours later.

After we got our pedicures we went to the mall. Now we are on our way home.

"I had a great time today. We should have another girls day soon." I said.
"Yes!" She said pulling into the drive way. Jen's car was in the drive way. This could be a bad thing. Or a good thing.

I hope it's a good thing.

I walked in the house and looked around the kitchen to see if Jen was in there. Nothing. I sat my. Bags down on the counter and I heard crying.

Oh no.

"Jen?" I asked.
"In here dear." She called back.

I walked into the living room to see Jen has the biggest smile on her face.

"What happened?" I asked.
"Honey, we need to go to your house to get your things. All of them." She said.
"Why?.." I asked.
"We can't adopt you because your dad is still in the state but what we can do is be your legal guardian and that's what happened." She said cheerfully.
"REALLY? YOU'RE KIDDING ME RIGHT? OH MY GOSH!" I yelled jumping up and down.
"No kidding." Zach said getting up. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him. I pulled away.
"Do you know a Jeff?" I asked.
"Jeff what?" Zach asked.
"Jeff Smith." I said.
"What about a Jeff Smith?" Jen asked.
"Megan and I went to Starbucks so Megan can meet some friends and a guy name Jeff was there. He was flirting with me so I said I have a boyfriend and he asked what your name was and I told him. He then said it sounds familiar." I said.
"He should sound familiar." Jen said.
"Why?" Zach said.
"He's my other son." Jen said.
