Chapter 7: Who You Love

Baya's P.O.V

Katy holds John's hand and releases from the hug he basically put her in. "John this is Rose and this is Baya" I smile at him and look at Rose who's face turned red within seconds.

" We're gonna give you guys some time" Rose says as she drags me up to our room. "Ouch! What was that for?!" I push her off me.

"Didn't you get it! The only reason she adopted us was because they were paying her for it!!"

"Ok Rose but she's been treating us like her own so far and if you're not taking the advantage of that then I will" I leave the room closing it behind me walking down back to where Katy and John are.

"Hey where's Rose?" Katy asks me. I just shrug my shoulders.

"Would you like to introduce yourself to John honey?" She asks me and I just smile.
" I'm Baya! And if you can't tell I'm the nice one that just agreed with everything. Oh and I'm 9" I smile as he gives me a look then smiles.
" Well I'm John, a musician and your mo-ms" he pauses " do you go by that?"

"Why not" I smile. "Sooo yeah I'm your moms boyfriend so you'll see me around here a lot" he winks.

"Katy you said we'd go shopping today didn't you?" I ask. " yes honey" she gulps great now thanks to Rose she'll only get nervous when she talks to us, I don't get it why can't she see the good stuff and leave everything that's negative aside.

"I'll let you two talk more I'm gonna go check on Rose" Katy says as she walks up the stairs.

Katy's P.O.V

I may have gotten some cash for adopting the two but that's not why I wanted to do it. I did it for them and for their own sake and I just need to clear everything up.

*knock knock*

"Come in if you're Baya" I wait a second then enter after I hear some sniffs. " Rose baby there's no need to cry" I try to confront her as I hug her and rub her back.

"What do you mean? You only did this for the money! I'd rather be at the orphanage right now than here." She pushes me away "I'm going" she says as she begins to gather her things together.

I hold her hand and turn her face around then hold her chin up "do you think I would've done this just for the money? Think about it how long have you been getting these letters for and when did you two come here" I try to calmly speak.

"You-You mean you were going to do it anyways?" She wipes a couple tears away. "Yes, there are just some things I kept to myself that I guess I shouldn't have" I sigh. "Well yeah you shouldn't have" she smiles.

"Ok now enough tears were all going shopping and we're leaving in 30 minutes I'll call Baya up and give you two some clothes to wear just for now " I say as I walk out of the room and back down to where Baya and John were talking and giggling which I found really cute I like how they're already communicating.

"looks like you two have been getting along quite well" I smile. "Yeaah" Baya laughs and they both start to laugh.

"save some more laughter for later Baya you gotta go up and get dressed were leaving in 20 minutes "

"Ok!" She runs up the stairs to her room

John and I wait till she closes the door so we could begin speaking.

"The sure are a handful" I laugh. "It's ok we could do it" he embraces me in another warm hug. "But she found out John well Rose did about what happened" I sigh

"What's the truth though Katy? Do you love them"

"More than anything..."

30 minutes later * In the car (garage)*

"Katy next time I'm  not getting dressed till you get done first! It took you 15 minutes to put make up on and literally 5 minutes for me to get dressed" Baya keeps on going on and on till I turned the radio on.

Rose's been quiet the whole way which is quite weird but I could deal with that later.

I keep on changing the radio channels till I found one with a beat that I recognized it was Who You Love! John and I kept on singing back and forth till the girls joined in. It felt great to actually have a family... Not the way I planned it but this feels great.
