Chapter 10: New Dawn, New Day, & A New Life

A/N: DELETED THE LAST 2 CHAPTERS check them out once again to know where the fanfic is going

So yeah I'll continue w this fanfic and idk how many chapters I'll go up to but they'll be long chapters now on and since all my fanfics are 20+chapters I'm aiming for this one to be like 50+ as long as I try to not add fill in chapters.

Tbh the only times I'll put chapters to fill in is when I'm like super busy or haven't updated in a while or something.

Katy's P.O.V

We left the mall a while later after lunch and when we got home just after changing my clothes I immediately went to the kitchen.

"Anyone up for some hot coco?" I call from the kitchen and they all scream 'me' back at me at the same time, so I take 2 mugs out then went scamming through the bags to find the mugs that the girls got themselves.

Once it was all done we gathered around the kitchen island.

There's so much I need to tell the girls about, we've bonded so much already during lunch and I could feel the bond slowly beginning to grow into a strong one.

I haven't told them or discussed anything about school but they're starting in 3 days at another school though, I just want them to
re-start their lives from scratch.

Just as I take another sip from my mug John comes closer to me

"Can I talk to you in the other room for a second" he whispers into my ear as I nod in agreement.

We get up and walk over to the couches in the living room and once he makes sure no one could hear us he then begins to speak.

"Look Katy as much as I want this whole family thing to happen, I called my manager today to try and cancel my tour and post pone them to summer or something but that's obviously too far and I just have no choice, I'm sorry but I promise you I'll do whatever it takes"

"When will you leave?" I coldly ask. "First thing tomorrow morning"

Wow tomorrow morning great way for the girls to see how committed he is to everything...not.

We both just stood there quietly thinking till I walked back the kitchen and sat with the girls while John sat on one of the couches in the living room probably thinking about what he's done or is about to do. Him not being around the girls for a couple months is a big deal because it's their first bond.

After zoning out with thinking and jumping back into reality I look back at the girls who were both on their phones... Yes I bought the two of them phones, if they don't have one now they're going to have one sometime plus it's also a way of showing them trust with how they handle their devices.

"Katy" Rose calmly says and looks at me. "Yeah?"

"Did John tell you anything about what happened in the first store we entered?" She asks me. "No what happened" I cross my legs on the chair. She goes on and on telling me about a guy she saw who has apparently taken care of her in the past which didn't end up really nice. "Katy I'm just so scared I'm sorry I flipped out on you earlier it's just cause I lost my trust in everyone" she tears up.

I walk over to her and wrap my arms around her and kiss her cheek "you're safe as long as your with me" I close my eyes and whisper into her ears, she then looks up at me "thank you"

John walks into the kitchen and gives us all a weird look. I walk back to my chair and sit down while he's still just awkwardly looking at us.

"Girls, Katy, I've got a call from my manager and I'm sorry I'm telling you this now but I'll have to start my tour tomorrow but I've also got another call from my manager and I'm going to have to go to the studio right now so I guess I'll see you in a couple months" he waves to the girls as I get up and walk to the garage.

I stand by the window as he starts the cars engine and buckles up. "Promise me you'll be fine" he holds my hand. " I'll be just fine now you're gonna be late

"Bye" he begins to head out as I get into the house.

I sigh as I walk into the kitchen.

"YAYYYY MORE TIME WITH KATYYYY" Baya screams freaking me out while I sit back on my chair. "Calm down goofball" that didn't help, just as I said that she jumped onto the island table and ran towards me "What are you doing?! Get down before someone gets hurt!" That didn't help either.

Without any warning she jumps right onto me flipping the chair down to the ground. We both scream at the same time but end up laughing when we realize that we're both fine just laying down the floor.

She crawls her way over to me and rests her head on my stomach then yawns "you don't need John you have us" she says while yawning. " I know... TIME FOR BED" I scream making her jump off me.

While getting up before making any sound I motion for Baya to slowly get up and look at Rose who slept literally while drinking her hot coco, we couldn't bare but laugh, what's even funnier is that she didn't even wake up or flinch

"Come on let's go to bed" I say as I grab Baya's hand and walk over to Rose and put her over my shoulder. What did they get fed in the orphanage these girls are really skinny and very light.

"Katy I'm scared of the dark"

"Really? So am I"

"That means we could sleep with you now right, I mean since John isn't here"

"why not"

We walk over to my room but before I touch the doors handle to enter, Baya does it for me, this kid is something.

"Thanks sweetie" she only smiles back.

I put Rose on one side of the bed realizing that Baya is just wandering around in the room fascinated by all the things that are in it.

I check what time it is and it's already really late it's 1am... I guess time flies when you're actually happy.

"Baya you need to get in bed I'm gonna turn the lights off"

"Noooooo!" She jumps right in bed waiting for me to turn them off and just after I do I put my phone on the charger and laid next to her after making sure that her and Rose were covered up and resting their heads comfortably.

I turn my body so that I was facing her and she did the same. "Katy it's really okay if John isn't around right? Though I know it doesn't effect us as much as it does to you" she says as she twirls my hair. "I'm fine as long as I'm with you"

"Can I ask you a question though, I'm sorry I've got too many things that I just want to know"

"You have the right to, go ahead"

"I wanna go back to school, I miss my friends and I haven't seen them in a long time especially with summer vacation it's just been too long " she frowns

" I haven't told you 2 but were going out tomorrow to get you some school supplies cause you're going back to school in 3 days but it's a different school meaning you'll get to make new friends and everything"

"Really?"

"Yeah are you okay with that?" I ask confused.

"Totally!"

"Baya why are you so accepting with everything?" I curiously ask her. "Because I once heard someone say that life is a roller coaster and things don't happen randomly cause everything's has its reason." She says which just makes me stare at her. "well you have got a big brain for an 11 year old". She smiles

"Katy which school are we going to, where is it, no Katy when is John coming back from tour actually when will you go on tour and can we come along? And and" she goes on and on asking me questions till Rose out of no where yells.

"BAYA SHUT THE FCK UP"

"LANGUAGE!!"

"Sorry" then it's finally all just silence and I sleep with a grin on my face.
