A week has passed since Soojung joined them for every break and free time. Right now, the three of them: Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Soojung are heading to the park to get Ice cream, along with Hoshi and Seungkwan. Well, more like Hoshi and Seungkwan blackmailed Wonwoo just to let them join. The boys have grown closer to Soojung and Soojung felt the same way. If only I could live a little longer, she thought.

Skipping excitedly to reach the Ice cream parlor, the boys except for Wonwoo were ahead of Soojung, leaving the two of them alone. Soojung shook her head repeatedly at the scenery in front of her, They act like kids. Wonwoo noticed it and awkwardly asked her, "What's so funny, Soojung-ah?" She locked gaze with Wonwoo and immediately shifted her eyes to the boys in front, telling Wonwoo what she was chuckling at. "So childish." She giggled. Wonwoo followed her gaze and chuckled as well, "You'll get used to it. They're actually more hyper than that. Especially when Seokmin's around." He crinkled his nose at the thought of his friends goofing around like the dorks they are. "Seokmin?" She wondered. "Lee Seokmin? The hyper one from class B?" She said. Wonwoo answered, "Yeah. He's coming along later."

"What flavor do you want, Soojung-ah?" Hoshi asked her as all of them were now standing in front of the counter. "Key lime pie? Just 2 scoops, okay?" She told Hoshi and everyone else ordered their ice cream and milkshakes. They got their orders and sat at a round table.

15 minutes later, Seokmin finally arrived. "Ayeee, hey everyone." He cheerfully said with his pearly whites showing. "Ah, you must be Soojung. I'm Lee Seokmin, smile man." He introduced which made everyone in the table laugh. "Yup, that's me." She returned the smile. Seokmin got his ice cream and sat with everyone at the table.

Soon, Seungkwan turned red from laughing and so was everyone else. The table became a lot livelier since Seokmin came and started cracking jokes. Soojung held her stomach from the pain because of too much laughter.

Soojung scooped another spoon of ice cream once she has calmed down. Wonwoo noticed a smear of ice cream on the corner of her lips so he let her know. "Soojung-ah, here." He pointed at the corner of his lips, showing her where the smear was. Soojung understood what he was trying to say but she missed the spot every time she attempted to wipe it off. Mingyu saw her struggle so he got a tissue and wiped it off of her. Soojung blinked a few times before reacting. "Thanks." She shyly said with her cheeks blushing. Wonwoo didn't understand what he felt after Mingyu wiped the ice cream off the side of her lips. He felt a slight pang of pain in his heart and he couldn't manage to look at Soojung either because she was blushing hard.

It was 6 pm and they had to go to their separate homes already. All of them were walking until Soojung walked a bit slower. She felt it again. She clutched on her chest and prayed for the stinging sensation to stop. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes but it was still there. Wonwoo saw that Soojung wasn't keeping up with them and he witnessed her clutching onto her chest. He walked to her right away and held both her shoulders gently. "Soojung, Soojung-ah. Are you okay?" He looked at her with worry in his eyes. She stared into his eyes and she could sense how worried he was, "Yeah." She looked away from Wonwoo and he obviously wasn't convinced of her answer. "No, you're not, stupid." He flicked her forehead and she flinched. "Ow, what was that for?" She rubbed the part he hit. "I can see through your lies. No way are you okay."

She suddenly felt weak and was gasping for oxygen. Her legs were becoming like jelly. Wonwoo supported her with his arms. "See?" Wonwoo clicked his tongue. "Let me help you, Soojung." He knelt down and signalled for Soojung to just get on his back. She hesitantly climbed on his back and wrapped her arms around his neck, hoping not to choke him and wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Soojung-ah, you're not heavy at all." Wonwoo said. Uncertain if he was being sarcastic or he was saying the truth, she knocked his head lightly with her knuckles. "Be thankful I'm feeling unwell or else that would have hurt a whole lot more." She scoffed. Wonwoo just smiled to himself and he kept up with the boys who were oblivious to what was happening the whole time. "Oh. Soojung-ah. There you are." Seungkwan said then he just came to realize that she was being carried by Wonwoo. Seungkwan lifted his brow at the two and cleared his throat multiple times loudly. "Dude, you need water or what?" Mingyu innocently patted Seungkwan's back. Mingyu didn't mind Soojung and Wonwoo being that close at all, but that's what he thought.

Later that night, Soojung was resting on her bed and her mother knocked on her door. She came in with a glass of water and Soojung's prescribed medication. Soojung took the tray from her mother and swallowed the pills and chugged them down with water. Her mother was sitting on the edge of her bed, her eyes were watering and had a tint of red. Soojung brought her knees close to her chest and took a deep breath in. "Eomma, it happens more often now. I don't know what to do." She confided and bit her lips in fear, "My heart feels like it's a wet cloth being twisted strongly." Her thoughts swallowed her. The what-ifs were circling around her mind. What if this is the end for me? What if there's nothing left that the doctors can do? What if I die?

Her mother came closer to her side and stroked Soojung's silky, dark hair. "Soojung, it's going to be okay. Eomma's here." She tried to smile for Soojung but she couldn't. Soojung knew her time's almost up and she had to make the most of her days, no matter what.

Oh. So obviously, you now know that Soojung is suffering from a heart disease. I cried when I was writing the last part. The fact that we can die anytime is terrifying. We don't know when our time is up so we should try to make the most of our lives.
