Most people are quick to decide, not reviewing their choices thoroughly. Often they overlook the consequences of their actions and decisions. We become foolish, blinded by the things we only see in front of us. It is rare for us to think ahead and notice how our current choices can affect our future — that was Wonwoo's case.
He didn't choose his own happiness. He gave away what he could almost grasp and hold onto forever. He was selfless, too generous that he had given the cat a trap full of mice. The cat, of course was on cloud nine, happy that it was given such blessings. Then the cat one day got used to receiving bountiful food that it forgot about how much the giver was sacrificing just to feed it.
Mingyu was the cat in this one. How inconsiderate he was, never seeing the hurt in Wonwoo's eyes whenever he and Soojung would be so close with each other. The times when Wonwoo would feel like a third-wheel because of how the two act with each other. Mingyu never saw that. Why? It was because he was so infatuated with Soojung that he forgot all about Wonwoo.

"Soojung-ah, Eomma's here. Please wake up, don't make me worry too much." Tears fell on Soojung's hospital bed as her mother spoke to her in a shaky voice whilst she wept in sorrow.
"Eomonim, Dr. Jung said she will wake up anytime soon so please calm down." The nurse assigned to Soojung calmly comforted Soojung's mother and handed her a tissue box. "Thank you."
Mingyu was pacing back and forth with troubled thoughts unlike Wonwoo who was surprisingly calm at the current situation. He was steady in his seat because he was in deep thinking.
Once she wakes up, should I tell her? He has been debating over this matter since the last 3 hours yet he still has no answer. He could stay still but his mind and heart were all over the place. He was bewildered by every little thing going on his mind and was torn between everything. It seems to him that every action he takes would bring heavy consequences. Consequences that will haunt him for as long as he lives.
If he threw away that confession, his heart would break upon seeing Soojung with a man that isn't him. But now if he spoke his mind for once, he would lose a brother and not only a best friend. Both were as valuable as gold to him but one would have to weigh more. He just didn't know who.
In Soojung's room, her mother had already dozed off to sleep by the bedside. The door creaked and Mingyu stepped in the room, taking a chair to Soojung's side. Mingyu lied his head on his arms on the bed, from there he observed the sleeping Soojung's facial features: Her pale lips that turns into a smile that could light up Seoul, her long black eyelashes, her nose that was small but cute, her cheeks that Mingyu would always notice blushing.
Everything about Soojung was perfect, not only speaking about her physical but also her bubbly and colorful personality that could make even the most bitter people in the world show their soft side. Mingyu couldn't express how much of a blessing Soojung was in his life. Now, only if he could tell her the words to make her his. As soon as you wake up, everything will be said. Mingyu softly smiled as he looked at her angelic face once again.
"Mingyu! Wake up, wake up!" A loud siren-like voice boomed through Mingyu's ears. Mingyu scrunched up his face as he opened his eyes to see the annoying person who made his morning horrible already. Seungkwan who was in his fashionable denim overalls with suspenders came to light.
"Great way to say good morning, right, Soojung-ah?" Seungkwan nudged Soojung who was holding in her laugh. Oh, she's awake, Mingyu noticed. She's awake! Mingyu came to his senses and immediately went over to Soojung side, encircling her in a hug. He squeezed her tight and suddenly, coughs filled the room. "Ugh, couple alert." Minghao commented while the others added, "Too early for skinship," "Mingew..."
