*Jessica POV*

We all arrived back at the hotel a few minutes ago. Elvis was currently sending Joe off to get my medicines. I grip Elvis' hand as we walk through the lobby. Just then, a stacked blonde woman in a police uniform approaches us. "Excuse me, are you Jessica Drew?" Sheepishly, I nod. "Fantastic." She holds out her hand, "I'm Loretta Duvall, with the Los Angeles Police Department. I'm sure Officer Mark mentioned me." Again I nod. I was unable to find words. She was about 5'7 with long blonde hair, and piercing green eyes. She didn't look like she was much older than twenty-two, if at all, and her body was very well endowed; making my own appear twigish.

By accident, my grip tightens on Elvis' hand. This was the officer that was going to be staying with me all the time? I glance up at Elvis, then back to her and swallow hard. I had my work cut out for me. Loretta was drop dead gorgeous, and I knew Elvis noticed. It was just my luck that I couldn't do anything with him for a week, and an unmarried, attractive woman pops up to be my protector until they find Dylan. I sigh, noticing how no one has said a word. "Well, it's very nice to meet you Officer Loretta..." I glance at Elvis, noticing him getting an eyeful of her, "I suppose you know my boyfriend, Elvis."

Loretta smiles and holds her hand out to him, "I have heard of you, but it's nice to finally meet you in person."

To my surprise, Elvis takes her hand and kisses it, "Nice to meet you too, honey." I found my grip on his hand becoming that much tighter, so much so that he looks down at me, "Jessica, are you alright?"

I shake my head, coming up with some excuse, "No. I don't feel well. Can you take me upstairs?" He nods, then leads me to the elevator. Loretta follows behind us, climbing in after us.

We ride up to the top floor, Elvis and Loretta chatting the whole way up. I found myself growing angrier with him. No one had been talking to me, and she was supposed to be protecting my life. Instead, she was flirting with my boyfriend. When the elevator stops and opens up, I decide that I'm not going to wait as the doctor suggests. I felt fine. I mean, what woman doesn't know what she can and can't handle?

*Elvis POV*

The moment I opened the door to my suite, Jessica marched into the bathroom, locking the door behind her. Officer Loretta and I make our way to the sofa and sit down. A moment later, Jessica appears by the couch and grabs her bags, once again disappearing into the bathroom after mumbling something about a shower.

For the next hour, I talk with the officer who was now responsible for Jessica's safety. I had to admit, she was very attractive and seemed to take an interest in me; she would laugh at everything and touch my arm lightly. But I knew I couldn't do anything about it. I promised Jessica I wouldn't cheat anymore.

"Elvis? Could you come in here for a moment?" Jessica calls from the bedroom.

I excuse myself from the conversation and approach the bedroom door. Without opening it, I tap lightly, "Did ya need somethin' darlin'?"

I hear her clear her throat, then talk low enough for me to hear, "Come in here and close the door behind you. I need to talk to you." I do as she's instructed, finding her laying on her side in a hotel robe on the bed. I walk over and sit by her head. She looks up at me, "Do you think Officer Loretta is pretty?" She looks up at me with pain in her eyes.

Very slowly I nod, "Yes I do. Is that gonna be a problem?"

Jessica stands up and walks around to the front of me. I wasn't sure what she was doing, but I hoped she wouldn't get angry. "That's understandable... But there's something she could never do for you."
