Déjà Vu {A Luke Castellan Story} [Three]

"Luke wake up!" I was jumping up and down ready to get today started.

It was Christmas morning, I got to see Logan and my mom again. I was truly ecstatic. Luke turned over and let out a groan. "Luke! It's Christmas! Get up already!" His blue and gold eyes seemed to shoot open, I swear he was a child still. He followed me into the living room with the table that had a few gifts on it. I picked up my neatly wrapped box for him and he picked up a slightly crinkled one for me. We traded and sat on the couch together, "On three?" I nod and we stare at each other.

"One."
"Two."
"Three!" We both shout at rip at the packaging.

Luke looked at his charm I had given to him, it was a lightweight silver caduceus with both a keychain ring or a chain to make it a necklace. I wasn't sure which one he would like. I pulled out a charm bracelet, it had a few different charms attached to it. There was a music note, a heart, a leaf and one empty spot for another chain. I looked up at him confused. Luke held up my necklace I was just wearing, the one I had gotten to match Logan. I laughed, "You really are a thief." He laughed and shook his head,  "Nico told me about the necklace so I ran out and got that bracelet." He took off the charm and attached it to the bracelet. I held my arm out so he could help me put the bracelet on. Once Luke latched it together I pulled my arm away and stared at it. I was taken away. "Thank you." It came out so breathless. He just smiled to me. Maybe he still does care?

'What does that matter? You basically rejected him.' My smile faltered, I had completely forgotten some how. I fixed my smile real quick so Luke couldn't notice. I got up and grabbed my newly claimed hoodie and Luke's other jacket, "Where are you going?" I throw his jacket to him, "We're going to be late, we have plans today." I walk out the door and followed by Luke hastily putting on his jacket and walking past me. "Where?" I shake my head and walk away, "That ruins the surprise." We walk next to each other and back to the small shop I had visited not to long ago just to get the keychain. "Hey (Y/N)!" The same red haired daughter of Hecate greeted me. I smiled and greeted her back, "Is this the other person?" She points over to Luke and I nod, "He has his keychain charm and I have mine." She smiles and waves me over to quickly get the processes over with.

"Now I want you both to stare at each other, just study each others faces." Luke raises an eyebrow, "Study her face?" She nods. The blond looks at me skeptically which causes me to laugh, "Just do it." He laughs a bit and stares at my face. I study every feature on his face, his scar, his blue and gold eyes, his nice and golden hair, the small smile plastered on his lips. My eyes wonder back and we catch each others gaze. I smirk and somehow that ended with us both in a staring contest. His eyes started to water from dryness and irritation and so were mine. I finally blinked first and he cheered in victory, "I win!" I roll my eyes, "They're linked, right?" She smiles, "Yeah, I just thought that was too cute to interrupt." I blush a bit and thank her before taking Luke out of the shop so we could head to my old apartment with Nico.

"Linked?" I smiled and nodded, "Stay here and grab you're charm when you can't see me." He raises an eyebrow but agrees to do so. I walk away and step into an empty ally. My charm began to glow a bit, the little heart on I had let Luke choose. I touched it and that allowed me to see him as if I was standing right in front of him. "Whoa." Luke was speechless, probably shocked over all. Honestly I didn't think it would even work at all so I was shocked as well. I let go and the image faded, I ran over back to Luke, "It actually worked!" He was stilled in awe, "And we can talk like that anytime?" I nodded, "The charm just needs to be on you at all times." He looked at the keychain once again and took off the charm, putting it on the chain that came with it. He put it around his neck and under his shirt, "Now it'll always be with me." I smiled, that small action seemed to have made the butterflies flutter in my stomach again.
