Déjà Vu {A Luke Castellan Story} [Three]

Logan went to go prepare for tonight's campfire. I went off and found Luke sitting on the steps of the Artemis cabin. He looks up to me when I get close enough. "Did it work?" I nod and genuinely smile, "Thank you, it wouldn't have worked without you." He smiles and pats the step next to him. I accept his offer and sit next to him. We watched as people passed by, a mixed group of campers dashed off towards the strawberry field, a small group of Aphrodite campers walked by. They stood away from our cabin, out of hearing range. With my enhanced hearing, courtesy of Apollo, I could hear bits and pieces of what they said. "He's cute...." One of them looked behind their back and over to us. "... probably dating... they're so close." My face reddened. Definitely talking about us, definitely not dating. Luke watched them, "wonder what they're talking about." "Clothes!" I blurted out without thinking. A girl from the group walks up to us, "Do you two happen to be dating?" My face went an even darker shade of red. "N-no." She sighed, told us how it would be cute and walked back to her siblings. "Clothes, huh?" I groan at Luke's sarcastic comment and his laughter. "I will fight you, Castellan."

Luke and I had left the steps to go get lunch at the pavilion. I left the hood of Luke's hoodie down this time. Logan had passed our table and offered for me to sit with them. I looked up at Luke who just smiled at me, was he hinting at me to go? I gave Logan a small nod and went with him to sit at the Apollo table. Logan sat me down between him and Lucy. I got to speak to my other siblings, the ones who didn't know me or what's happened in the past. Best of all, I got to spend time with Logan, eating food just like when I had given him his nickname according to my recording. Lucy and Logan began arguing about who was going to sing the female role tonight when I felt someone's eyes staring into the back of my head. I look behind me to see Luke looking over to the Apollo table, I smile softly as a way to say thank you once again. He blinks a couple times when he seemed to come to his senses. He smiled back and went back to his food. I didn't like the sight of him alone, Luke seemed so lonely and upset, it pained me a bit. I looked around to see if anyone else was siting alone only to spot a certain child of Hades sitting alone also.

Nico looked up at me and waved a bit, maybe if they were to sit together I wouldn't feel so bad. I smiled back and figured I might as well hint it. I glanced over to Luke and back to Nico at least three times. Nico tilted his head to the side a bit. I groaned quietly, he was confused. I slowly moved my head from him over to Luke. He must've finally understood because he slowly got up and sat in front of Luke. I smiled and went back to facing my siblings. "(Y/N), what about you?" My eyes widened, I had no idea what I was being asked. "Me what?" This caused some laughter from a few Apollo campers. "No doubt she was staring at her friend over there." I heard a few snickers and other comments about me staring at the blonde I showed up with. My face was completely red by now. I looked over to Logan who was laughing also. Lucy's hand rubbed my back to release some embarrassment but she was about to laugh also. I gave in and laughed a bit also which seemed to have released some of my embarrassment. They had passed the question by me once again, they wanted to know if I would perform tonight since Lucy didn't want too. 

I sighed, "I'm not sure you guys. I love that you guys want me too but I'm not sure if I can." They started to complain to me. There was several comments of 'oh come on,' or 'It's not that bad,' and a heard a few of 'We need to too!' I giggled a bit which caused their voices to rise to the point of most tables turning around to stare. I heard a shout or two from the Ares table telling us to shut up or they'd make us. My half siblings took these campfires so seriously that they were yelling at me asking if I thought this was a game. "Okay. Fine. Just be quiet." I laughed at the excitement and cheers after I had told them I would sing. I heard some laughter from behind me as well, I turned around to see Luke and Nico looking at our table and laughing. I giggled a bit and mouthed the words 'save me.' Nico rolled his eyes and looked to Luke who mouthed back 'Not a chance.' This made me pretend to pout and causing us both to laugh. Even Nico chuckled a bit and shook his head at us both.
