"She didn't even touch him!"

The three girls were currently in the Principal's office, and Dinah was babbling on about Tyler's little stunt in the lunchroom while Camila was staring at Lauren, swiping some wet hair out of her face.

"Kevin, may I call you Kevin?"

The principal gave Dinah the deadliest glare he could. "Girls, you're not in trouble. I'd just like to hear what exactly happened... but you."

He pointed towards Dinah.

"You are in trouble."

"Look, Kevin, this is insane. I'll explain what happened. Lauren was sitting at the table, minding her own damn business and out of nowhere, Tyler comes and pours his drink all over her head. I swoop in, and i meant to punch his chest lightly, but I was so mad that it was overpowered by my anger, it ended up in the wrong directon and more forceful than I intended."

She carried on as Camila and Lauren pretty much just stared at each other with dopey smiles. Their actions were noticed by the Principal who just stared at them expecting them to speak.

"Miss Hansen, we'll talk about this after. You have another meeting with me after school today, at four. You may leave, I'd like to talk to these two young ladies alone." He concluded, gesturing towards the door with his hand.

Dinah shrugged and walked out, closing the door behind her.

That's when he turned his attention to the girls.

"You think you guys will be able to stop the heart eyes for a minute?" He asked with a small laugh, easing the tension.

Camila's head snapped up as she Lauren looked at her. Their eyes both averted to the principal as Camila instantly shook her head.

"No, we're not... I'm not into her like that, I like boys." She quickly stated, nodding her head. On the other hand, Lauren felt her chest tighten just at that.

Camila was still afraid.

-

"I like boys." She insisted, struggling to put on a smile.

She looked at the mirror in front of her, she looked at her beautiful dress. She looked at the way her loose ironed curls fell over her shoulder. She looked at herself, and knew it wasn't who she was, it was rather who she was convincing herself to be.

It was officially her first time meeting Lucas's parents, and they were taking the couple out to a fancy restaurant. They had money, a lot of money. But that's not why Camila was going out with him. She was going out with him because she thought he was a nice guy, a nice friend.

"Karla! Mija! Lucas is here!" Sinu shouted from downstairs, making Camila all the more anxious.

"Here we go."

-

"Tyler was given three days in school suspension, Dinah's gonna be suspended for two weeks out, though." Camila said to Ally.

Ally leaned against her locker and shrugged. "I'm literally so done with Normani. I know that Zendaya hated her for no reason at first, but now she actually has a reason. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually went at it if they see each other."

Camila shrugged, looking over at the dark haired girl across the room at her locker. She sighed softly, recalling what happened in the Principal's office.

"Go talk to her." Ally said with a small smile, rubbing her friend's shoulder in encouragement.

Camila let out a breath she didn't even realize she was holding. She gave Ally a small grin before making her way over to Lauren. She looked at her and gently tapped her shoulder, attempting to get her attention. "Hey..."

Lauren didn't acknowledge her presence, only kept organizing her locker. Camila huffed in response, stomping her foot. "Lauren...."

Lauren looked at her for a moment before scoffing. "Don't you have Hale's class right now? Please leave me alone."

"Why are you always so fucking mad at me?" Camila said with a small laugh. "All I ever do is fuck up. Everything I say or do is wrong. I'm sorry that I'm not comfortable with myself yet and I'm sorry that I'm not ready and I'm just-"

"And I'm sorry that you kissed me." Lauren cut her off, their eyes finally meeting. Camila's facial expression softened before she shook her head.

"Don't. You initiated that kiss just as much as I did." She defended, crossing her arms.

"Well you know what? Don't come to my house anymore at fucking three AM asking to talk to me, because I don't need that. My family doesn't need that. All you do is fuck us up."

Camila looked to the side, so Lauren wouldn't see her cry. She rubbed her eye as if it was itchy, trying to mask the fact that tears were falling down, but Lauren saw right through her facade.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean that." Lauren said, regretting making Camila cry. She hated when people cried. "I've just been through so much shit okay?" She laughed sadly, shaking her head. "Every time I take a step I feel a sharp pain in my hip. I can't make friends because I'm known as 'bean' around here. I'm still soaked from what happened in the cafeteria, it's stuff like that that I can't handle."

"Well I'm sorry that I make everything so hard for you." Camila said, looking down at the floor.

Lauren sighed. "I'm not going to put effort into being comfortable with you again if you're just going to pretend like I'm everyone else. It hurts, I've been through that already. I'm not-"

"Can you meet my parents?" Camila blurted out, looking up at Lauren. "I'll come out to my parents." She said softly. "I'll prove to you that I can do this. I can do it one step at a time, but it'll take time."

Lauren wasn't expecting Camila to say those words, she was expecting this to end up like last time.

"Yeah, if you're sure. I'm not trying to push you out of the closet. I'm just saying that if you're not out I can't be with you... If you even want that."

Camila looked around, before pulling Lauren into the classroom around the corner.

"I want that." she said softly, wrapping her arms around Lauren's neck. "I want to be with you eventually."

Lauren tried to hide her grin, but failed. She let out a small breath, leaning in and slowly connecting their lips, resting her hands on her waist. Camila responded positively to the kiss although it only lasted a second.

"I'd love to."
