Adelaides POV
I had been taken back to my cell and thrown onto the floor, my wounds still bleeding. The professor took off his coat ripped part of it off. He then pushed it to me through the bars. I weakly picked it up and dabbed my face. I brought it back to see blooded covering it. I held it to the wound and closed my eyes, feeling the blood drying and holding the flesh together. I felt the pain from the burns still humming in my body, then screaming at the slightest movement. One thought filled me head, What is Peter planning?
Peter POV
I woke up from my dreams of Adelaide to see Lucy was walking off. I grabbed my sword and followed her. She was about to walk around a rock when I saw a minator. I grabbed her and put my hand over her mouth, pulling her behind the rock again. I put my finger to my lips, signalling for her to be silent. I drew my sword and went around, ready to attack. Before I could get close a dark haired figured jumped from a higher place and blocked my sword. I swung at the new opponent and easily got the upper hand. The man looked around my age, but he lacked the same experience I possessed. I knocked his sword away, and swung at him. He was dressed like a Telmarine. The same people who have Addy. The same people who are torturing her. I swung at him, but he ducked, sending my sword into a tree. He kicked out, sending me flying backwards. I fell and picked up a rock, approaching him while he was grabbing my sword. Before I could hit, Lucy appeared.
"Stop!" She commanded. I looked around to see centaurs rushing over, weapons ready. I saw minators and catuars coming over. I looked around in awe. We had found the Narnians.
"Prince Caspian?" I deduced. The man looked stunned.
"Yes? Who are you?" He asked. However before I could answer, Susan came around the corner, Barking my name as if I was a misbehaving child. Caspian looked over us all, before turning his gaze to my blade and the writing on it as well as the golden lion hilt.
"High King Peter?" He questioned.
"I believe you called." I responded, as much like Addy as I possibly could. She had a gift for making people like her. Lucy always thought she could sweet talk an army into retreating, although I doubt she was sweet-talking her way out of whatever mess she was in now.
"Yes, but, I thought you'd be older." Caspian explained. His response got me slightly annoyed. Why did everyone question us?
"If you'd like, we can come back in a few years?" I offered, turning to leave.
"No, that's alright. You're not exactly what I expected." Caspian said, looking between each of my siblings. His eyes lingering on Susan didn't go unnoticed by me.
"Neither are you." Edmund commented. I had expected some powerful ruler who could help me save my wife, only now I realise that he is about as old as I am.
"A common enemy unites even the oldest of foes." A badger said. I was sure glad to see talking animals. After the bear incident, I think Lucy is glad also.
"We have anxiously awaited your return my league. If you don't mind me asking, where's High Queen Adelaide. I would love to see her for I am the only living descendant of her Royal Advisor Ayotus." A mouse addressed me.
"She was captured by Telmarine soldiers upon our arrival." Edmund explained, knowing I would have difficulty.
"Well our hearts and swords are at your service." The mouse then bowed to me. This is the kind of respect that I loved.
"He's so cute." Lucy said to Susan.
"Who said that?" The mouse snapped, his blade ready.
"Sorry." Lucy said, embarrassed.
"Your Majesty, I believe courteous, courageous or chivalrous would better fit a knight of Narnia." The mouse explained. I was impressed. For such a small being, he was very well versed. I now see why Adelaide made a mouse her Royal Advisor.
"Well at least we know some of you can handle a blade." I pointed out, glancing at Caspian. I could almost feel Adelaide's disapproving look at my actions, but she wasn't here, because of his kind.
"Yes indeed, and I have recently put it to good use, securing weapons for your army, sire." The mouse bragged.
"Good because we're going t need every sword we can get, if we have any hope in rescuing Addy and restoring Narnia." I spoke, turning to Caspian. I gave him a look so he would know not to cross me. I couldn't let him jeopardise saving Addy.
"Well then, you will probably be wanting yours back." Caspian handed me my blade back. I gladly took it from him, keeping my eyes locked on his as I swung it round and sheathed it expertly. After years with my silver blade I show do many fancy tricks with it, but know wasn't the time for childish showing off. I then walked off, with the others in pursuit.
Adelaides POV
After a sleepless night, I had an uneventful day. Miraz had left, but had returned moments ago. After his arrival I had been summoned to, what I called, the Chamber. I was once again ripped from my cell and dragged into the Chamber. I was tied back down to the table, the ropes now reopening the burnt skin of my wrists and ankles. Miraz strode towards me.
"They took weapons. Two regiments worth of armour and weapons. You said they weren't planning anything. That means you lied to your king!" He shouted. I glared at him. The news the Telmarine's had been successfully raided meant that the Narnians were fighting back for once. I looked into those black eyes and saw nothing but anger and remorse. My silence only added to the fire inside of him.
"They took iron armour and weapons, so you wont be able to touch it." He added. I kept my glare on him.
"Well if you won't talk, I'll leave you with something to think about." Miraz snarled. He then grabbed a chain made of iron. The chain had spikes on that could penetrate any flesh. He laid it across my stomach, causing me to cry out in pain. The long chain hung over my body, the heavy weight of it stabbing into my skin adding to the pain. I continued to scream as Miraz left, locking the door behind him.
