We waited just a bit but then eventually the bus stopped right there. Everyone walked onto the bus and picked their seat. A lot of freshmen were on, some sophmores, just a bit of juniors and barely any seniors as most of the older kids drive. I cannot wait till the day I turn 16. Being 14 is such a drag, especially in this day and age.
I claimed a seat that was near the front and empty, I put my bag on the floor and stared out the window as everyone sat down. We shortly then began to move.
"One last stop!" The driver said as the tires squeaked to an end.
The bus loaded once more with kids, I watched them get on. These were the people I will see everyday.
One stopped at my seat...and sat down!
She threw her bag on the ground next to my and sat down. Maybe we can be friends. I looked at her hair, a bright cherry red. She had deep green eyes and wore some sort of band tee. She had red jeans on and seemed more of an alternative kind of girl.
"Is something wrong?" She asked, noticing me staring.
"Hu-Huh? No! Not at all.." I chuckle.
"Right..well..I'm Skylar. You?" She asked, kinda intimidatingly.
"Um..Ka-Kayl--a." I stutter.
"Wow, Ka-Kayl--a is a funny name. Well, I can tell that you're new here, right?" Skylar asked.
"Sort of, I'm a freshman." I say nervously.
"Oh, well ya see, I'm going into Sophmore year, 10th grade I guess you could say. So I would say that I'm kinda a pro with all the cliques...well actually not really but whatever." Skylar joked.
I chuckled a little, "Well think you could show me around?"
"Sure, why not. I got nothin' else better to do." Skylar said as the bus came to a stop. "Follow me."
We walked out of the bus and Skylar and I walked quickly into the school.
"Welcome to Taliban High. Home of the Falcons. Now let me see your schedule." Skylar said, grabbing the paper.
"Ah..Mr. Roberts, I had him last year, he's really cool." She insisted, showing me to his room.
"Next period, meet me here, alright? I can help you..See ya." She said, leaving to her own class.
She seems pretty decent compared to some other folk here.
I took my seat rather quickly and set up some of my supplies. I look over and notice a more prissy girl eyeing me, when I looked back she smirked meanly and looked away.
"Wow, another one of those girls who wear black and think they're soo cool. Hah! As if." She said looking back at me.
Jesus Christ, why is she picking on me?
She just began to giggle like it's just so hilarious to her and her group of friends.
"Hey, what about you mind your own business." I say, quietly.
"What?" She asked, rudely.
I stayed silent and began to look down again.
"Yeah that's exactly what I thought, stay silent." She teased, then flipping her long blonde, wavy hair.
"Yenno, people like you annoy me to no end.. I literally just sat down! Get off your high horse!" I say, sternly.
Her face turned red in embarrassment, then class began.
