"Thank you for driving for us, Liam." Trisha gratefully said to Liam. "Would you like to come in before leaving?"

Liam smiled sweetly, "Welcome, and thanks for the offer, Trisha, but I gotta head home. I definitely have a great time. Bye Zayn, bye girls."

"Okay, be safe." Trisha waved goodbye, bringing her girls inside the house, letting Zayn and Liam talk.

"So, I'll see you tomorrow?" Liam spoke, eyes shining in delight.

Zayn nodded, "Um, will you text me, um, later?" He asked. Liam evinced a small chuckle.

"Yeah," Liam said. "Maybe, call? Just for awhile?"

Zayn nodded, "See you and take care on the drive home."

"Bye."

Zayn taps his finger on his phone, laying quietly on his bed and patiently waiting for any vibrate from his phone.

He had been laying for just ten minutes, so he isn't much impatient for Liam's call. Zayn don't also want to seem clingy and needy, so he pushed away the thought to text Liam. Although, he really wants to.

Feeling sleepy, Zayn's lids starts to get heavy and he will blink every once in awhile to fight the drowsiness he's feeling. He checked the time, 8:47 PM. He sighed.

Just until 9 PM, Zayn. Wait a little bit more. Zayn said to himself.

After a tad bit, he finally closed his eyes, but then, his phone vibrated.

"Liam calling..."

Finally. Zayn thought. He answered thoroughly.

"Hi, Zayn." Liam greeted, a tone of nervousness on his voice.

"Hello." Zayn stated groggily.

"Oh, you're sleepy?"

"Bit, yeah. Um, -"

"Okay. You want lullaby?" Zayn lightly giggled.

"Liam, I'm not three."

"Well, yeah, but I can just sing to you till you sleep."

"Nah, let's just talk normal, like, I'm not sleepy now."

"Okay. Um, I planned for our actual date." Zayn nodded, despite Liam not seeing him.

"Mhm, and then?"

"I'm shy," Liam groaned and that made Zayn chuckle, "Um, would you go out with me? I mean, I don't know. It's your choice. I'll -"

"You know, I will, yeah? You're mumbling, Li." Zayn answered. "So, would you sing me the lullaby?"

"Oh. Okay, yeah. Which song?"

"Anything you like."

"Okay, here I go..." Liam paused.

"Settle down with me
Cover me up
Cuddle me in

And hold me in your arms"

"Uh, gonna skip the next part, I don't know it that much." Liam stated and Zayn lightly laughed. Liam just faked a cough. "Okay, I'll proceed."

Liam repeated the chorus twice and then when he "felt" Zayn was asleep, he tried calling his name. When no one answered, he said "I love you." and hang up.

Little did Liam know Zayn is still awake and he heard what he said.

Liam is not around the next day.

Zayn really did looked forward to this day because it is Monday and he thought, maybe, he can know about the details about his first ever date.

It doesn't mean Zayn rushes the date Liam planned, but he just feels it's good to talk about in person and he just wanna stare at his-- the good looking Liam Payne.

"Seems like Zayn is looking for someone, hmm?" An Irish accent was heard from behind.

"Hi, Ni." Zayn gave Niall a tight smile cause he's a little disappointed.

"Liam's sick, by the way." Niall stated, sitting beside Zayn. "He don't like to tell you because he said he might go at lunch, but I don't know."

Zayn nodded, "Do you think I could text him? Um, do you think he will respond?" He shyly asked, he still feels awkward about his and Liam's relationship.

"Yes and yes. Come on, go on. Don't go shy cause you'll be together and be proud of being together." Niall said mischievously, wiggling his brows. Zayn just chuckled.

"Okay, um, tell me if the teacher walks in, please? I get pretty careless about people and things around me if I text someone." Zayn requested, Niall nodded.

He started texting Liam.

Then hesitated. He pretended to text cause Niall is still looking at him. Obviously, Zayn's still shy-- he is still healing from melancholia and he thinks Liam will understand him, so it is okay.

After he's done "texting", he smiled at Niall and the Irish boy returned back.

But really, he wanted to text Liam, but he just can't.
