i smiled up at my father, he had just given me and Draco our farewell gifts.
Mine: It was a simple charm Bracelette. It was the same silver as the necklace I wore right now from the box of things my unknown aunt had given me. each charm sparkled in the evening sun, one charm was a serpent with green line paterns carved into it, it curved around the silver string that held the charms; another charm was simple, it was a perfct circle with green gems encrested in random parts; others were differant, but they all held the same slytherin honor as the other.
Dracos: His present was a hawk-owl. I have to tell you that that thing scared the fageebees out nof me! It had a proud stance, sitting in it's ,massive cage, lliant beak was orange and I swear it looked polished, his talons were sharp and threatening, and his feathers were well kept and jet-black.
"Thank you father," I said as I hugged him tightly around his middle. "I love it."
"We knew you would, Alex, my darling." Mother said, carrasing my cheek lovingly as I gave her a hug too.
"Now go on or you'll have to be forced to share a compartment with mudbloods." Father said.
"Yes," Draco agreed, catching fathers eye and nodding. I bet father told Draco to look after me, I wish he hadn't. That means Draco would never leave my side and I will always have to act like a true Malfoy, and not my usual muggle loving self
Draco grabbed my hand and brought me to the end of the train, where it was most empty. "What did you name him?" I asked Draco, trying small talk as I gestured towards his massive bird.
"It's a messanger owl, Alex." Draco said, in a somewhat bored tone. "Not a pet."
"Everyone needs a name-"
"I'm not naming him, Alex! Drop it." He snapped bitterly.
My shoulders hunched as I followed him inside a carrage, which was occuped with Crabbe and Goyle, who were scarfing down chocolate frogs - the cards also.
"Give some here," Draco ordered, outstretching his hand. They both, reluctantly, handed him handfuls of chocolate frogs. "Want some?" He asked as he held out the chocolate frogs, which I declined. "No?"
I shook my head again and took out my muggle book, Sleeping Beauty. I had to admit that this wasn't one of m favorites, in fact, it was one of my very least favorites fairy tale books. The princess was not independant at all, she pricked her finger and waited for her prince to arrive, it didn't really have a moral but to not let idiotic children play with sharp objects. I have to stop thinking like this, I'm becoming a Malfoy.
"Muggle books again, I see." Draco said in disgust. "I don't know how those interest you."
"It's fascinating how the Muggles veiw magic," I murmered as I turned to the first page.
"Fascinating," Draco snorted. "More like idiotic."
I contorted my face in sadness and hid behind my book while automaically listening to their conversation.
"Did you hear the big news?" Draco asked dramatically.
I could almost hear Crabbe and Goyle's face contoring in curiosity.
"Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts, he's here, in the Hogwarts express." Draco said, pleased to catch their attention. "I want to look at him."
The train lurched foreward and started, I heard kids hurrying around the aisle outside, looking for a compartment to rest in. Once or twice a kid or two would peek in the compartment, but would quickly close it when they see Crabbe and Goyle.

FanfictieAlex Malfoy is my name. But I'm not much of a Malfoy really. I don't share their beliefs, the only person that I could confide in that is my diary, Tess. I am relieved to say that I was put in Slytherin, lucky really. I guess it had something to do...
