Three months later.

Its all down to this. I hold my blades in my hand. Alexander holds a blade and a shield. He's not holding anything back and neither am I. He charges at me shield first and swings his blade. I block his sword and press my weight against is shield making him stumble. He regains is composure and blocks my next swing at his side. He turns his shield to block my every swing. I start to get agitated and start getting messy. He swings at me cutting the fabric of my dress and I cringe at him. I tighten up my movements to avoid that again.
All of a sudden, our training is inturupted by an arrow flying by my head and into Alexander as he pushes me out of the way.
"ALEXANDER!" I scream looking at his shoulder from the ground.
As I fall to the ground, the arrow lands straight into his shoulder. He grunts and picks himself up. He grips my hand engulfing it into his own. He pulls me into the direction of the house. He quickly opens the door and slams it shut locking it in the process. He quickly baracades the door and pulls me into his bedroom. He moves his bear-skin carpet and reveals a cellar door. He open the door and motions for me to go inside. I walk down the stairs and he soon follows placing the rug back over the door as he does so.
He lights a few candles and presses his index finger to his lips; signaling me to be quiet. I nod at him and moment later you can hear the guards marching through the house. I notice that the arrow is still in his shoulder. I cringe as his blood rolls down his shirt, making it cling to him. He notices my staring and motions for me to hand him the box behind him. I grab the box and walk towards him. In one swift movement, he has me on top of him and him laying on the ground. I widen my eyes at him. What in God's name is he doing?! He leans forward and whispers while smirking.
"Its not what you think. I need you to pull the arrow and clean it." I nod while scowling. He slips his shirt over his head and places it between his teeth. He nods at me as I place my slender fingers around the arrow. I give it a quick tug and it doesn't budge. I notice him bitting down on the shirt to keep from screaming. I pull again, this time with more force and successfully pull the arrow. He groans lowly and takes the shirt from his mouth and grabs a bottle from that box along with a cloth and some bandages. He hands them to me and I open the bottle and moisturize the cloth and begin rubbing the wound. He hisses in pain, grabbing onto my thigh in the process. I roll my eyes and move his hand as he sits up. I hold his arm straight out as I begin to wrap the bandages around his shoulder.
After a while we stare at each other intently. He leans forward only to be met by my hand against his chest. I breathe out a 'why?' at him and he only shrugs.
"Love drives a man insane." He whispers back as he leans forward again our lips grazing as his door is thrown open. We quickly hop away from each other and listen to the knights conversation.
"Where did princess Lafaye go?" Sir Nathaniel; Head of the knights says to one of his soldiers.
"I'm not sure sir. The mystery man and her made a mad dash for what we assumed was for here, sir." He says in a ice cold voice. I could hear Nathaniel grunt knocking over things above.
"Her father will have our heads when he finds out we let her escape again." He says sighing heavily. I smile a little to myself. They think we've escaped. A little later, they walk out the house and we sit in silence until nightfall.
Once the coast is clear, he opens the door and grabs a shirt. I notice that the house had been ransacked. He approaches me and smiles smally.
"I know where we can go." He whispers and tugs my arm in a random direction. He leads me to a small path in the woods that's lot by the moon light.
We walk until the crack of dawn until we reach a small cabin. It looks as if it hasn't been used in a few years. He pulls me inside and I look around. Someone has been here. I turn to look at Alexander and he has the same look of realization on his face. He goes into a random room and comes back with three swords. He hands me two of them and nods his head to the left. I go to the right with the swords at the ready. I walk into the small parlor area looking around ready to strike if need be. I notice the back door open and stalk outside only to be met with a kick to my ribs and I tumble over. I quickly regain my footing and hold my blade in the ready position.
"Oh, you're a woman. I apologize, I didn't realize." He says to me as he lowers his sword. I grip my blade and flip my hair back. His eyes widen but he quickly fixes them. "And a princess no less. I can no longer fight you in good concious, my princess." He says bowing slightly. I swing many sword at his head and he stumbles back with an appalled look. I swing again and he scoot back. He rolls back and onto his feet.
"Fine. I tried to show you mercy but now. I'll show you a quick death. Say hi to princess Elizabeth for me." He says mockingly but what he doesn't know is he just sealed his death.
Elizabeth.
I run at him with a furry that could topple a whole kingdom.
Elizabeth.
I swing my swords so fast that he can barely keep up blocking my hits.
Elizabeth.
I swing my swords hard you can hear the vibrations of the swords.
Elizabeth.
I manage to knock the sword from his hand and tackle him to the ground. I repeatedly punch this man in the face until my hands are raw. I grab my sword and raise it to his throat.
Elizabeth.
"I'll see you in hell. Off with your head." I say as I'm about to slice it off.
I'm tackled by Alexander pulling me off the stranger. He has his arms around my waist, holding onto my waist.
"Let me go! Let me go! I'll kill that bastard!" I say strugling in his hold, still seething mad.
"You can't. That's my cousin Jonathan." He says unfazed by my threats. I don't stop strugling. He will not get away with it. I won't let him. I refuse. He sits up holding his face while Alexander looks as if he's about to explode. I look over his face and both of his eyes are blackened. His nose is bleeding and deformed and his lip is split open.
"What are you feeding her?" Jonathan says while spitting blood. Alexander bursts into a fit of laughter.
"Jonathan, What did you say to her?" Alexander says once he has stopped laughing.
"I tried to be nice but she kept attacking me so I said 'I tried to show you mercy but now. I'll show you a quick death. Say hi to princess Elizabeth for me.' Then she freaked out." Jonathan says wiping the blood off his face.
"You didn't say that..." Alexander says in disbelief while looking at me with sympathy. I hate that look.
"I did and don't regret it." Jonathan says sneering it, in my face. I quickly jump from his arms and start choking him with my right and punching him with the left. I'm quickly pulled off of him, into Alexander's embrace.
"Elizabeth was killed by her parents. She didn't die of disease. She was beheaded by her parents." Alexander says only tightening the embrace.
I quickly remember his wound and look up at him. I pull away from him and walk away. My hands are raw and bloody and I desperately need to wash. I walk to a nearby lake we passed on the way here. I quickly strip out of my outfit and climb into the ice-cold water. I wash away whats left of the blood and sit in the water thinking. What have I become? Who am I? What will happen once I've completed my mission? But I do know one thing. I won't give up. I refuse.
