Walking into Ethan

Chapter 7

"What happened between you two?"

"Well as you know we were assigned as partners. It was weird, at first. But Ethan is just so easy to talk too. He's almost perfect. But I need to tell you that I don't actually know how I feel about him. What if he's acting nice to be my friend, then back stabs me later?"

"You're always like this. You get so paranoid when you first meet a cute guy. Then you worry, then it's great. Unless he believes in something else, like a band perhaps."

Olivia laughed. "Ok. I'll give him a chance, but if anything happens I'm going to pretend that it never happened."

"Ok. Don't forget about the part where you tell Luke."

"Does Luke need to know?"

"Ya. Plus you guys need to talk about the whole mall thing. And about today."

"Ok. I'll invite him over tomorrow. No Ethan!"

"Ethan asked me out. You remember that note? It was from Ethan. He wanted to know if I wanted to 'hang out'. I told him I'd think about it and get back to him. Then he left."

"So you might go out with him?"

"Ya. But what do I tell Luke?"

"That's up to you."

"You're right. Now it's your turn to blush. When are you and Liam going to 'hang out'?"

"What do you mean hang out?"

"You know what I mean."

"Ok. I haven't made any plans with him yet."

"What are you waiting for? You have like this guy since 7th grade."

"I know, but now that I finally have to talk to him, I don't know what to say and I'm worried that I'm going to say something wrong."

"You'll be fine. Trust me. At least you're not in a relationship, but like another guy."

"Thanks Liv. You always know what to say. Also you'll get through it. I believe in you. But first you need to talk to Luke."

"I told you I would tomorrow. After school. Which reminds me I don't need a ride tomorrow. I'll ask Luke to drop me off. But Can you come get me in the morning?"

"Of course. Same time?"

"Same place!" 

The girls hugged each other then Taylor had to go home. 

The next day, Olivia was ready to tell Luke the truth. She couldn't have him hear it from someone else. This was going to be hard, but Olivia knew she had to do it. During first period, Olivia  saw Luke and tried to tell him they needed to talk. She passed him a note. He looked over at her and nodded. 

'What if he already knows? What if he wants to broke up with me? What if he's found someone else, like I did? I guess I will have to wait.'

After class Luke and Olivia met up and talked.

"Hey!" Luke said.

"Luke! I'm so glad we can talk."

"Well actually if not a good time, but I'd love to talk."

"Ya. All I wanted to do was invite you over so we can talk later."

"Ok. We'll talk later."

"Great. Also can you give me a ride home?"

"Ya. Of course."

"Thanks!" Olivia said before giving Luke a quick cheek kiss.
