The Getaway• Chapter 31.
By the time we got to the hospital, it was almost dawn. We would've gotten here earlier, but Hunters parents kept calling her repeatedly. Something about custody problems. I'm not sure about the the whole thing, but Hunter promised to explain later, along with who that boy was. Yeah, she still hasn't told me.
I think it's kind of weird, but I decided against questioning it. Maybe she was just thinking of a cover story. Hopefully not though.
You could probably guess that Hunter wasn't in a good mood. At all. Considering her phone is now dead because of her parents. And they're both fighting for custody. Hunters dad is planning to move to a town about three hours away from here, and since Hunter is under his legal custody, she's basically forced to go. Which that wasn't good, at all.
Honestly, if she leaves, I'll basically have no one. Considering Bo and I hate each other, and Coles in the hospital. And will be for a while. Then of course there's Zoe, Cara, and Kirsten, but I barely know them. I could go to the drama club people, but I just don't think that'd be for me.
Then the last option, would be to go back to California. Which I already say yes to.
"How may I help you, ladies?" A middle aged woman asked, showing off her perfectly whitened teeth. I returned the smile and turned to Hunter as she spoke, in a not so happy voice, might I add.
"I already know what room my friends in," she sighed and put something in her bag. "Can we just head up there?"
"Uhm, yeah, just go right ahead." She replied slowly, leaning over the desk to let the buzzer go off, signaling us through the doors. I sent her one last smile and scurried down the hall, knowing that she was still watching us.
When we got to Coles room, the door was cracked and a voice was heard from inside the room. "It's just that," it was Bo. She paused and let out a sigh, then spoke. "I don't think we should keep her. She may be good, but she's new and knows nothing."
I didn't really know who she was talking about, but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with me. All because she overreacted about an everyday question. I mean, come on. I didn't really have anything to say though, considering I wasn't over it myself. But now she wants to kick me off the dance crew?
If she consults the others, besides Hunter, then they're surely going to agree since they've known her longer. This was definitely not good. But there's no way I was apologizing.
I guess Hunter agreed that it was about me, too. I looked over at her, and saw the she was furrowing her eyebrows. Obviously thinking about something.
Then she began speaking again. "She's also a bitch, no offense though. I mean seriously, she just moved here and she's acting like she runs this place."
"Oh, and she's already chasing after you. I bet she loves it when you call her, 'Geek Princess.' Or whatever the hell it is. It's all probably just a cover up, it's pretty obvious who she really likes,"
I couldn't listen anymore. I felt my face reddening from anger, and my heart start pumping louder. I was about to shove past Hunter when she put her am out and stopped me.
"Don't," she whispered and looked at me for a brief moment. "If you go in there now, she's just going to use everything you say against you to get the others to hate you."
"They probably already do. Have you not heard anything she's been saying? She's even saying stuff that I never even thought about! I mean, Cole, seriously?" I harshly whispered back, causing her to snap her head in my direction and glare at me.
"For fucks sake, Selena. She's obsessed with him, of course she's going to do anything in her will power to get rid of you," Hunter stated in a low voice, still glaring at me. "So that's why if you go in there now and possibly beat the shit out of her, it's just going to make your situation worse. We just need to stay clear of her and not make any more troubles."
Hunter may have been my first friend, but now my anger was growing strong, and I was about to knock her out just to get to that bitch inside the room. Saying that I like Cole? Seriously. He's a nice person and all, but definitely not my type. I don't even know I make it seem like I like him. She's just like Alex, except more manipulative and it's driving me fucking insane.
I tugged at my hair and sighed. "Oh hey Bo, I didn't know you were here." Hunter faintly smiled as we walked in the room.
Bo looked up at me for a second, her eyes clouded with hatred. Then they softened as she plastered on a fake smile. "Hey, yeah. I was just uh, telling Cole here about the dance performance." She replied and looked back at him. "Even though he's asleep.."
"Are you sure he's okay with it?"
"Yeah, most likely. Even though he says he is, I know he's dying to come with." She let out a small laugh and turned to me. Her eyes doing the same thing again.
"And Selena, I'm sorry about the other night. It was just, I started.. you know." Bo lowered her head and shook it. "I just got worked up and let my anger take over. I really am sorry."
I looked at Hunter, who turned the other was and sighed. Trying not to blow up at the moment. "I know how it is, I get it, and it's fine." I muttered and weakly smiled at her. She nodded and clutched her bag as she made her way out of the room.
"Seriously, how does she act like she didn't even say that literally five seconds ago?" I questioned and sat on a chair in the corner of the room.
"I don't know, but I just got a text from Cara saying we leave after tomorrow."
"Shit." I ran my fingers through my hair and groaned. My mom doesn't even know and I don't even have plane tickets. I'm actually the only one who doesn't.
I got out from my chair, and ran down the hall after Hunter.

After Hunter dropped me off, I skipped as many steps as I could to get inside. I found my mom in the kitchen, eating cereal and scrolling through her phone.
"Hey mom," I smiled, trying to catch my breath. She looked up and rose her eyebrows.
"Wanna tell me where you've been?" She questioned and got up to put her bowl in the sink. I shrugged and sat down opposite of her.
"I thought I texted you," I replied and she just shook her head. I ran my fingers through my hair and looked down. "I don't know, this past month has been complete shit,"
"Watch what words your using." She snapped and folded her arms across her chest, clearly annoyed. "And I don't care if its been bad for you. We needed this change and it's been good for us. I just don't need you to be running around without telling me."
"I know, I'm sorry. I just wanted to tell you that Hunter got a text today at the hospital."
"Okay, and?" My mom rose her eyebrow, waiting for me to continue.
"It was from the producer. He said that we leave after tomorrow." I said quickly, hoping to get the queasiness to go away. Her face remained neutral, it was like she was staring straight through me.
"Whatever, fine." She snapped, and slid chair back, leaving the kitchen. I heard the bedroom door slam, indicating that she was clearly pissed. I sighed for like the fiftieth time in the past hour and got up to start washing clothes.
(Hey guys! I know it's been a while and I'm sorry. So it's finally gotten to the point where they're finally leaving. Which means there's only about 6 or so chapters left! And there's one thing that I wanted to get straightened out. Some of you are saying stuff like, "I thought this was Jelena, but then there's Jared and that." I realize that, but it's to add a little bump in the road. I didn't want her to just find him cheating on her, forgive him, then make them live happily ever after. That would honestly be boring. So to answer your questions, YES they will be seeing each other again (: you just have to find out how. So keep reading and being amazing! Ily!)
