After a burst of light, Kori and Kyle were magically teleported into a spacious dark room with only medieval torches being the source of light, which made the room have a gloomy look to it. Kyle noticed a few people standing above them in black robes, and one of them spoke,"The wind lord wishes to meet you in room 204."

"Ahhhh where?" Kyle asked as he had no clue of where to go.

"Go straight from door a1 and turn left, then keep straight and turn right after 2 intersections, then you...." One of them gave him the long directions. After having finished listening to whatever he had to say, Kyle felt a bit dizzy as he needed to remember a full 2 minutes of instructions.

"This place is like a maze," Kori looked at the million branching hallways.

"Well, the inside of the mountain is much bigger than what it looks to be on the outside. Must be a similar type of magic to the storage rings." After finally reaching the giant door engraved with the number 204, Kyle knocked on the door and the person inside replied,

"Come in." As they enter, they saw an old man with a long beard seated down, and his hair having specks of light green. "Have a seat." He said while gesturing to the chairs opposite of him.

"Soooo, what is exactly this place? And who are you?" Kyle asked the old man.

"Mount Nebula was a stronghold back in the olden days, now we retrofitted it to more 'socialising' purposes." He replied. "For example, rooms like this are meant for business purposes, such as whenever a very wealthy trader comes, this place is safe enough to protect the trader while he goes on with his job. As for me, I am the current lord of the wind kingdom." Kyle's eyes lit up when he was now known of the position of the man seated in front of him.

"So I'm assuming that you know about my past?"

The lord sighed. "That's one of the reason why I decided to summon you here. Kyle, your mother was an incredible child born from a powerful branch of the royal family. When she was younger, she displayed miraculous potential, attracting attention even from the most powerful dragon elders. Many people wanted to adopt her into their own family, hoping to use her as an advantage to become stronger. Unfortunately for them, your mother fell in love with your father, who was a dark human. The head elder of the tribe, being someone who had survived in the holy war, would never comply with that. Eventually after a few months, your parents were discovered from hiding but your father managed to escape even with heavy injuries. Your mother though, wasn't dealt with very harshly. When everyone believed that the commotion was over, something even more shocking to the public occurred." The lord said as Kyle was listening attentively. Even Kori was listening closely to the story too. "Around 3 to 4 years later, you were born. Your mother had to protect you, as the head elder was already in a frenzy of rage by at that point of time. He was practically pulling the hairs on his head off. She then quietly left the city to try to search for somewhere safe to hide you. By the time they noticed your mother was gone, she was already in the humans' territory."

"But, do you know where is she now?" Kyle asked the lord.

"That, I'm not sure of. She never returned back to our lands. If she did, we could have sensed her presence with our powers by now." He shook his head. Kyle went silent.

A moment later, he asked, "So what did you require me to do?"

"Glad that you asked." The lord replied.

"One of the princesses have been kidnapped by a general who tried to organize a coup. His first attempt was a blunder, so now he has set his hands on kidnapping royals. The only problem is, their base is located at a sacred area, which only permits people under 50 years old to enter. We normally treat this kind of places as a training ground for the younger generation but..."

"But he used it against you." Kyle finished his sentence.

  The elder agreed."Basically, yes"

"What's in it for me?" Kyle asked the lord.

"The kidnapped princess is your cousin. Her grandfather is your great uncle."He said.

"Those great uncles and grandfathers have already tried to kill me. So even if I wanted to save the girl, I don't think I can bring myself to do it. I know that those people have already planned to kill me while I'm returning with my cousin." Kyle replied calmly.

The lord looked at Kyle and sighed. "Fine. If you can return with the princess and kill the general, I'll let you enter the sacred area underneath the mountain. There has always been a legend that says that legendary spirits will appear if the chosen one enters. Even if that person isn't the chosen one, he or she would train better in that area." Kyle agreed to help. After getting the location, Kyle and Kori went back into the maze.

Alone in the room, the lord sighed. "The spirits under the mountain were meant to be for you, as her son."

While walking towards the hall, Kori asked Kyle, "Are you sure about this?"

"Yeah." He clarified. "You know, when I said I didn't really want to save my cousin, it's because I knew that there was a secret under the mountain. That guy wouldn't have mentioned it that openly, so I was waiting for it. To be honest, if he still didn't mention anything, I would have still went to rescue my cousin. It's just getting the spirits would be a bit of a problem."

"What's so special about those spirits?" Kori was intrigued.

"If I'm not wrong, those spirits were left beneath the mountain decades before the holy war." Kyle pointed downwards. "It would be a great power boost if I am able to convince any of the spirits to follow me. Plus I don't have any for myself, for now that is, so yeah."

  "Nice." Kori laughed.

"The only problem left now is finishing the job."
