"Kori, stay behind and use support magic. Try to maintain a good amount of distance away from him." Kyle took a step forward as he whispered to Kori. Kori looked at him with trusting eyes and nodded in understanding. Both of them knew one thing, that this fight wasn't going to be easy. As the dust slowly cleared, Kyle reached out for the scabbard on his back and unsheathed his sword. His eyes locked on Enoch, he rushed forward, appearing right in front of him. Kori quickly gave Kyle an attack boost. "putere!" Kyle swung his sword towards Enoch. Clang. Enoch lifted up his hand in self defence to block the attack. To Kyle, it felt like he was hitting something made out of hard alloy. Enoch shoved Kyle away just with a swing of his hand, and some blood flowed out of Kyle's lower lip. Kyle wiped it off.

"Oh, looks like you're more stronger than I thought, I had underestimated your powers." Enoch said. Kyle, remaining the expression as before, he rushed behind Enoch and with Kori's boost he sent out a few fireballs out his hand. Enoch slowly raised his hand to block the spell with ease. His eyes widened, when Kyle suddenly appeared behind him and slashed his sword on Enoch's back. The sword was infused with fire, and a small amount of poison and curse ailments, thanks to the help of Kori's magic. Having been caught off guard, the attack left a hideous bloody mark on his back. Enoch eyes turned crimson red as he was consumed by rage. He did not expect a lowly life form like Kyle to actually hurt him. "How dare you......!" He yelled at Kyle. The sound waves of his voice made an immerse strong impact that it knocked Kyle digging into the ground, creating a small hill behind him. Kori not being too far away, was shocked by that attack. Knowing that this time their enemy was going to be head on serious in battle, she swiftly casted a healing spell on Kyle in preparation. A green ring of light surrounded Kyle and healed majority of the wounds instantly. Kyle stood up amongst the rubble, using the almost cracked, busted sword as a support. Kyle was in the midst trying to regain his strength when Enoch teleported in front of him."Die." He commanded. His eyes were as cold as steel, and his voice sounded demonic. Kyle tried to dodge the attack, but he failed. He flew back quite a distance and landed sprawled near Kori's feet.

"Kyle!" Kori called out. He coughed blood as she rushed to his aid. Enoch flew straight at them and kicked, causing both of them to be forcefully knocked back a few hundred meters. Both Kyle and Kori were covered head to toe in scratches and bruises, and some of the injuries were deep enough to spill blood. Enoch went ahead to supposedly give the finishing blow. As he nearly hit Kyle and Kori, the fire red amulet hung on Kyle's neck suddenly gave out a bright light. A shock wave that protected Kyle and Kori thrusted Enoch back far away from them. After landing harshly as he was still being affected by the effects of the curse and poison, Enoch stuttered, with a shocked expression on his face in disbelief, "A Royal? It couldn't be!" His face became even more twisted when he saw Kyle standing back up, this time with a pair of dark red dragons wings behind him, and a giant sword made out of fire that was towering over Kyle. His eyes were burning red, and he slowly lifted the sword up, preparing to strike. Enoch shuddered. Even though he had often heard of items or forbidden spells to increase power, he did not expect such a turn of events. He tried to block the attack when Kyle launched himself at Enoch, but to his surprise Kyle managed to create a wound on his shoulder. Blood gushed out of there, adding on to the fear that Kyle had instilled in Enoch. He was now desperate for an escape route as he believed that as long as he could get away from that boy, he would survive and report this horrible news back to his lord.

While trying to find a way out, he eyed Kori, who was still half - unconscious from the battle. He used up his own blood to increase his speed and before Kyle could figure out what he was going to do, he already had Kori in his hands and a knife to her throat. "Back off! Or I'll kill the girl!" Enoch threatened Kyle. Upon seeing that, Kyle stopped in his tracks but continued to stare eye to eye at Enoch. Right now, his only concern was Kori. "Good... now drop the sword!" Enoch commanded Kyle as he moved the blade closer, now just an inch away from Kori's neck. A bright red line was visible on her neck. Kyle deactivated the sword. As Enoch was going to shout again, he sensed someone behind him. An old man appeared right behind him and shot him up straight into the sky. Kyle quickly flew up and caught Kori who was falling from the sky too. As Enoch turned around face to face with the old man, the old man questioned in a calm voice, "Has the dragon tribe forgotten about the contract that they made with us centuries ago? Is it still not true anymore?"

Enoch's eyes widened. That old man was an elemental. During the holy war, in exchange for not fighting for either sides, they had made a contract with the tribes to not attack the younglings without valid reason. "Of course not elder, if I had known that she was an elemeta..." Enoch went to his knees as he tried to reason with the elemental elder but was interrupted by him immediately.

"So you do admit that you tried to attack her! By the name of the gods, you will have to accept the fatal punishment, of death." The elder raised his hand to preparing to attack him. Enoch's face turned blue and as he immediately got up and started to flee. The Elder shot out a ball of magic that hit him straight in the back.

"Noooooo!" Enoch screamed as his body slowly disintegrated as it perished into thin air.

'What kind of great power is required to do that? 'Kyle thought as he witnessed the downfall of Enoch. The elder then turned to Kyle and said,

"Dragon warrior, please accept my sincere thanks for keeping one of our dearest younglings safe and sound. Now, I suggest that you leave this place immediately, for your own safety and that village's. Don't worry," He comforted when he noticed Kyle looking towards his village with concern. "I'll be the one to explain everything to them." Kyle looked at the elder and gave his thanks before the elder vanished into thin air.

"Hey, you alright?" Kyle asked Kori.

"Yeah." She answered as she got up.

"Still... why did you do that then? Dropping your weapon just for me is risky you know, he might have wanted to fool you! We both would have been in trouble then!"

"But I couldn't have left you helpless could I? I couldn't let you die in that bastard's hands anyway."

"I agree, he was quite a bastard. I'll give you my thanks." 'But still, who exactly was he? Why does this guy want to attack Kyle? There must be something fishy of some sort going on.' Kori wondered.

"Well anyways, you wanna go?" Kyle stretched out his hand and Kori happily accepted it. He then opened his wings and took off to the skies with her, and from above he saw three little figures in the village waving at them as he took one last returning glance at the village. Kyle flapped his crimson red wings and took off into the distance.
