Bring your kids to Work !

Sup , internet buddies - a  new day , a new chapter .

When I got home I barely had time to eat - my mom picked me up and we went straight to the hospital to start organizing the kitchen for the event . Man, that stuff was fancy . I'd never seen an ice statue up so close , but they had , I kid you not, TWO of them. One of them was a caduceus, that symbol of medicine with two snakes and a rid , which they used to mix drinks by pouring them through it. It was nuts!

We spent hours coordinating all the preparations , it was hard and rushed worked , but I loved it. I knew mom was hardworking , but my respect for her grew exponentially . There were tons of last-minute issues : some of the serving staff were absent ,part of the decoration came in the wrong color , some of the workers  hadn't finished a ventilation shaft where the party was taking place... everyone looked to my mom to figure stuff out , and she somehow always had an answer.

The party was starting soon,but things were finally getting ready.It was tight , but she managed to finished everything despite all those issues . I was a big sweaty mess, but now I knew why my mom loved this job-I felt pride of being a part of it all.

When everything was ready I stood by the door , looking at all we had accomplished . My mom poked me , and when I turned , I saw her smiling with her hand behind her back . "Got a surprise for you.." , she said , revealing two beautiful dresses . She said she knew the folks at the hospital and that we could stay for the party !I was tired , but it was going to be fun being in a fancy like that. We took a shower in the doctor's dressing room and prepared some fun stuff.

The new wing was pretty neat . Despite most people there being doctors , I recognized some people there - Niall was there with his parents , talking to the director of the hospital , wearing his incredible tuxedo . Zayn came with his inseparable leather vest and a face that made it clear that it was the last place on Earth he wanted to be in. I also spotted Liam sitting on a chair in the corner , looking pretty upset ...

I couldn't just ignore Liam , so I went to check what he was up to. I sat by his side,and he looked at me but said nothing . I mentioned that I had come to help my mom organize the event and  asked what he was up to . Turns out his mom is a nurse there , and dragged him since she wasn't making dinner tonight .

We both kind of just watched the party unfold around us, like it was a TV show - almost like we weren't a part of it .

This is so fancy!

I mentioned I never thought I'd go to such a fancy party in my life . He shrugged , but said nothing . I pointed to the ice sculptures and mentioned how impressive they were, but he didn't seem too interested . I tried bringing up his mom's work, but he only whined about how nurse didn't really get much respect from the doctors , even with all the time his mom spent there.

I could notice he wasn't too thrilled , and I thought better  to stop there . I said goodbye , and mentioned that I wanted to meet his mom someday. I know he's not that social , but he seemed downright miserable there .
