The monkey is hovering over me I look up and its faceless expression stairs at me. Then I turn around and ignore it. "It's only a dream. It's only a dream. Ignore it Rose. It's only a dream... stop thinking about her stop it Rose. You have to move on now stop it!"
"Rose? Would you stop talking? I'm trying to get some sleep!" Said StarLight.
"Sorry." I said
"What were you yelling about anyway?" Asked StarLight.
"StarLight?"
"You don't have to be so formal. You can call me Star."
"Star? What are you talking about?"
"You were talking in your sleep and you were muttering something like... 'it's only a dream you have to move on now stop it!'"
"Oh.... That. Right."
"Well? What were you talking about?" Asked Star
"My mother and her dying. You know that monkey I was talking about?"
"Uh. You're not still going on about that are you...?" Asked Star, half asleep.
"Maybe. The monkey was reminding me of my mother's pet monkey but it had no face. It was a nightmare. Everything I know about my mother is gone. She died when I was five. On a ship. It sunk."
"I'm so sorry."
"Yeah. It's okay... you can't do anything about it." I said and sighed.
"Rose? If there is anything you need.... Just tell me."
"I want my family back." I said.
