"I Katie Elizabeth take you, Jacob Alexander..." I repeated after the pastor, to the man I was promising my love, and my life to. This is a story of how I met and spent my whole life with the man of my dreams.
It was the summer of my freshman year of college. I had decided I was going to move to Montana a couple weeks in advance so that I could get used to the area since I'd be staying here for the next four years of my adult life. I had never been away from my family for this long or this far away and I was excited to see what the future held for me. There was only one other person who apparently had the same idea I did. I met him in the quad one summer evening trying to find something to do.
" Nice to see I'm not the only one bored here." An unfamiliar but sweet sounding male voice said. He had an accent an I couldn't really tell if it was Scottish or if it was Irish.
I giggled a bit to myself and looked up to see this handsome brown eyed man standing above me. I was sitting on a bench and I'm pretty tall but stand-in up he was taller than me. All I could really do was just smile at him.
"This is the part of the conversation where you tell me your name and ask me if I'd like to sit down." He said smiling.
"Oh! Gosh, sorry. Would you like to sit?"
"Yes. Thank you. In Jacob." The tall boy said siting down next to me.
"Katie." I said smiling. I could feel my cheeks burning from embarrassment.
"So, what year are you?"
"I'm a freshman this year. What about you?"
" Thus is my sophomore year." He had this smile that just made me smile and I couldn't help but state at him. Before I knew it we were walking around the campus just talking. He told some really funny jokes which made me laugh, and I hate my laugh. Butcher told me he liked it. Which made me smile and blush even more than before.By the first day of classes we were together all the time. He took me on dates, and we went on long walks most of the time just to be together.
One day when I was walking back to my dorm to change for softball practice, I ran into Jacob. He seemed really distracted and I couldn't tell why.
" Hey Jacob!" My smile faded to a frown, and I got really confused. "Jake?" But he just kept walking. " That was weird..." I said to myself as he walked away. The rest of the afternoon I couldn't figure out what was going on. I thought maybe it was something I did. Or didn't do... Jacob didn't talk to me for three whole weeks...A/N
