He knocks his finger against the outside metal, collision ball on the right, causing the rest to move in a rippling formation as a result. He moves his hand back up to meet his other and folds them together as he watches the balls move on their own. His hands now pressed up to his mouth, he rubs his thumbs against his bottom lip repeatedly while still keeping his hands entwined. A knock vibrates on the door to his office, but he doesn't look up from the collision balls as he speaks.
"Who is it?" he says in a loud enough voice for whoever is on the outside to here.
"It is Jinyoung, sir," the voice replies, making Siwon's narrowed eyes look up toward the door. "I have the information you asked me to collect."
"Right," Siwon says, finally letting his hands disconnect and fall onto his desk. "Come in." He sees the doorknob twist from the inside and reaches forward slightly to stop the movement of the balls right before Jinyoung comes into sight.
"Here it is," he says with a light exhale, laying a file folder in front of him on the desk. "That's all I was able to get for now, but they said they'll keep us posted if anything hazardous arises." Siwon doesn't respond to that and flips through the papers in the folder instead, looking at them just long enough for his eyes to scan over them.
"And they confirmed their arrival?" he asks him, quickly glancing up at him.
"Yes, sir," Jinyoung says with a single nod of his head. "According to them, they arrived there about three days ago."
"All of them?"
"Yes, sir. All 12 of them."
"12?" Siwon's brow furrows slightly and he looks up at Jinyoung. "Who did they pick up along the way?"
"Apparently, they arrived with a child," Jinyoung explains briefly. "When they got there, they said the child looked to be a few months old."
Siwon hums in thought. "That means if we're just hearing about this confirmation now, they must have been out in the desert for at least a few months without managing to kill themselves. Huh. Rather remarkable, isn't it? 11 fugitives escaping to Kohara with a child after surviving in the Sterile Desert."
"I suppose so," Jinyoung says, shifting his feet and crossing his arms over his front.
"Did they say what the gender of the child was?"
"No, sir, they didn't." He shakes his head negatively. "Although, it was mentioned that it appears to be a girl; however, I'm not sure how accurate or reliable that is." Siwon nods his head and looks through more of the papers briefly before shutting the folder altogether.
"What about the other Kim boy?" he says next, leaning back in his chair as he sighs and folds his hands together again. "Have you been keeping an eye on him?"
"Yes, I have sir," Jinyoung answers. "He's still doing well in school and his school advisers haven't reported any disruptions from him since his brother escaped." Siwon nods and chews on the inside of his cheek. "However, his current school adviser to say to me that he's being oddly quiet during the learning day, but it's obviously connected it to Jongin's absence."
"Which would still present trouble for us because that would mean he's feeling things," Siwon interjects, making Jinyoung nod his head in agreement. "Which would then mean that someone isn't taking their medicine."
"But I've been monitoring his medicine charts every day, sir," Jinyoung says in opposition. "He's being recorded as receiving his daily dosage with no missed days."
"Yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's taking it," Siwon says in response, earning a confused expression from Jinyoung. "Look, don't worry about it for right now," he adds a moment later. "Just keep doing your work and updating me on any new advances. I'll pay a little visit to Asher and see what I can find out."
