Epilogue

Yunho walks to the house quietly, looking behind him every so often to make sure he's alone. Once he's on the porch, he knocks twice before unlocking the door and walking in, something he usually does to let them know it's him. He meets them at the bottom of the staircase, and he can see the anxiousness and slight panic in both of their eyes. 

"Well, what happened?" one of them asks. "Was it successful?"

"Yes, everything went according to plan," Yunho responds, happily so and equally as relieved as they are. 

"A-And Jongin and Taeoh? Are they with you, too?" 

"Yes, they were there." He nods again. "They're a little confused and shaken up, but I have a feeling they'll be just fine."

"And no one followed you, right?" 

"Not that I know, but you know how They can be. They practically live in the shadows."

There's a sigh and a squint of the eyes. "We'll have to up our security measures just to be safe. Tell the others to start doing extra walks during the day. You can recruit new people if you need to. I won't let Them take anyone else away."

"Understood," Yunho says with a nod of his head. "I'll make sure everyone stays safe, I promise."

"Thank you, really. You have no idea how much this means to us, Yunho."

"I've told a million times, don't thank me. I gave you my made word and I intend to keep it until the day I die." They exchange smiles and then Yunho bids them goodbye and goodnight before making his way back to the door. He doesn't forget to lock the door on his way out, shoving the key back into his pocket. He stands on the edge of the porch for a moment while a cold breeze brushes past him. He picks up his feet and walks down the steps after it passes, making his way back through the dark and silent night.
