You and Misty walked into the bar, eyeing everyone. After making sure it wasn't a shady, dingy, or overpriced bar, you took a seat of your own. Misty sat on your lap.
"What can I get you, miss?" The bartender asked.
"One water, please." You requested. The bartender gave you a weird look before walking off to get your drink. Once he gave it to you, you listened to other people's conversations. You had heard rumors of a guild named Phantom Lord, where there was a mage named "Iron" Gajeel. You, wanting to meet him after so many years, had traveled to this town, hearing that this was Phantom's location.
"I heard that Phantom had planned to attack Fairy Tail." Someone said.
"Serves them right, there always destroying everything in this damn city." Another person said.
You had finished your drink, putting the money open the table. You walked out, sitting on a park bench.
"Do you think that the Gajeel they were talking about is the one you know?" Misty asked.
"Probably. Well, let's go check it out! We won't know until we find out, right?" You said. You were pepped up. You threw the robe that you had on off of you, revealing your . "Wait here, Misty."
You breathed in and out, calming your nerves. Judging by the rumors, Phantom was not a nice guild. You also wondered if you were right or not. After all, Gajeel could just be a vicious wizard who shares a name with a close childhood friend, and not be the man you were looking for. Even so, you continued walking to the intimidating guild, your nervousness and confidence growing with every step. As soon as you got there, you breathed in and out, and knocked on the door. Someone opened it, letting in seemingly blinding light to the dark and dimly lit guild."Hello!" You said cheerfully. "My name is (y/n), and I heard that there was a mage named Gajeel in this guild that I would like to speak to-"
"Get the hell out!" A woman said. She charged at you, ready to attack you with magic. You punched her, hard, sending her flying across the guild. More people attacked you, and soon at least half the guild was after you, defeating them all easily. Soon a tall, muscular came walking out. He had a spiky, long mane of hair, and piercing red eyes. To top off the whole look, he had several iron piercings adorning his body, many of which was covered by his clothing. His clothing consisted of a long, black rode that was trimmed with a silver material and was tattered at the end. He slowly walked over to you, anger clear on his face. He seemed to not recognize you.
"What are you doing here in a guild full of weaklings, Gajeel-kun?"
"(y/n)-nee? What are you doing here?" He asked, shocked that you were alive and well.
"I was exploring when I heard rumors of a ruthless iron wizard named Gajeel. I had done a little more research and traced your location to this exact spot. I had no idea that you were working with people like this." You emphasized the last word with disgust, knowing that Gajeel was a great mage wasting his time with a guild that was all talk.
"What did you come here for?" He said.
"I came here to tell you not to reveal some classified info, and just to visit you." You explained. You didn't want people knowing that you were a Dragon Slayer, more so raised by Acnologia. You had heard that he was an evil dragon, and you didn't want people to be suspicious of you because you were associated with him.
"Don't tell anyone who my dragon father was. Got it?" You said. "Mata ne. (see ya)" You sauntered away from the guild, quite happy that whole affair was settled."
You walked off, meeting up with Misty.
"How'd it go?" She asked.
"Pretty well. Let's go." You ordered.
"Where are we going?" She asked.
"We're going to go join Fairy Tail."
After a while of wandering and walking, you eventually got lost. Misty constantly questioned you on if you knew how to get there. You always said yes. Over time, you got annoyed with her constant doubt and took a wrong turn on purpose. After announcing you didn't know where you were going, Misty took over, making it even worse. She gave up, for it took hours, as the seemingly simple task morphed into an over-complicated puzzle not worth solving. The once bright day had turned into a orange colored sunset. You exhaustively sat down on a bench, along with Misty, in front of a canal.
"Looks like we couldn't find it, after all." Misty said.
"Well, looks like we're going to have to wait till tomorrow to find the Fairy Tail guild to join it." You said.
"Speaking of which, where are we going to stay? At an inn, perhaps?"
"Probably. We should go find one. And ask for directions this time." You got up, and Misty started to fly again.
You were suddenly knocked back down by a sudden weight that seemed to fall out of the sky. When overcame the shock of the situation, you looked at the thing, more accurately, the person that struck you down, who also happened to be knocked out. He had salmon colored hair. He also was lean and muscular. He had on a black vest that was lined with gold trims on it that exposed his torso. He also had white, baggy pants paired with some black sandals. You also noticed a blue flying cat.
"Gomenasai, Natsu." The flying cat said.
"His name is Natsu?" You wondered aloud.
"Yep! I'm Happy. What is your name?" He asked.
"I'm (y/n). That gray cat over there is Misty. Nice to meet you!" You cheerfully said with a closed eye smile. He suddenly got up, looking frantically around the area. Then, he noticed you, and a 'tint' rose to his cheeks. He helped you up. After a long moment of awkward silence, you decided to introduce yourself.
"I'm (y/n)." You said.
"I-I'm Natsu." He said. You suddenly noticed his onyx eyes that were bright and happy.
"He lllllikes you!" The flying cat said. You giggled lightly. Then, Natsu's stomach started to growl.
"You sure are hungry, aren't you?" You said.
"I haven't had a meal in three days." He complained.
"How about I buy you food? Don't hold back, I have plenty of money."
"(y/n)!" Misty protested. You still need money to rent out an inn for the night.
"It's okay. Let's go-" Before you even finished your sentence, you were being dragged away by the sprinting male.
~Time skip! Brought to you by Yuno's craziness!~
"You might want to slow down a bit, Natsu."You sweat-dropped in embarrassment. The male mage was gulping everything in front of him, food spilling everywhere. It caused some guests to leave, and you with an empty wallet. There goes your inn money, you thought.
"You don't have money for a place to stay?" He asked you. You looked down at the table, mortified that you had said your thoughts aloud.
"Well, yeah. I was gonna use the money you for your meal to rent out a room in an inn for a night." Natsu and Happy looked at each other, and then looked at you.
"You can stay with us!" Natsu exclaimed. "There's more than one bed at out place, you can sleep in one them!"
"Really? Thank you!" You exclaimed.
He flashed you a closed-eyed smile of his own before he wolfed down more food.
Today was crazy, but you wouldn't have it any other way.
