(Pretty short chapter)

Sean felt his heart thumping against his chest, his body ached and his throat clenched, the fear drenched him, scared, he didn't know what to think, it still hadn't occurred that he was going to die, he still couldn't process it well.

He walked with those guards, his shoulders slumped and his head hung, his wide eyes glaring at the ground, mumbling gibberish under his breath, shaking his head occasionally.

He had to be pried out of Marks arms this morning because they refused to let each other go, infuriating the guards to an extreme extent, Mark having to be held back when he tried to take action.

Mark was slowly loosing it, he couldn't handle the pain of the realisation that he was loosing Sean forever. He didn't want to live knowing that and didn't want Sean to go, he was too young to die, Mark himself too was too young to die but,  the thought of Sean dying because he was different mentally, seemed pretty bullshit to him.

Mark stood in that execution court, standing on the side, looking up as he heard the doors open, seeing Sean and his heart felt heavy as his expression dampened, hanging his head slightly.

The shame, the fear, the shock and the devastation. What had he done to deserve this? Why? Why Sean? Why did he have to fall so damn hard for him? Why couldn't he just stay with Jess and avoid this shit? Why did he have to see that fucking flyer for the job? Why? Why? Why?

Be it fate or curse, he wouldn't trade his love for Sean with anything. Sean looked back at Mark, his eyes blurred as tears filled them. That was when he realised how much affect this had on Mark, the moment he saw his face, the dark lines under Mark's eyes, the red that filled his swollen eyes that always seemed to have the look of pain and sadness, his red cheeks that was stained with tears, it broke his heart.

Sean ran to Mark, the guards attempting to grab him but he dodged, running into Mark's arms. "Mark! I love you!" Sean exclaimed, wrapping his arms around him, hugging him close, wanting the feel of their bodies together one last time.

"I love you baby" Mark said in a broken voice, looking him in the eyes and kissing his nose, Sean feeling the guards grab at him. "I can't live without, so I won't" Mark shook his head and Sean frowned, feeling the guards grab him and pull him away from Mark.

"What? What do you mean?! Mark!" Sean cried, struggling against their hold as he was dragged back. "I love you!" Mark called, the people watching frowned in pure sadness, clearly feeling empathetic for Sean and Mark.

"Please! Don't do what I think you'll do! I'll never live with myself!" Sean screamed, the tears rolling down his cheeks. "You'll be dead, so you won't have to" Mark sighed, hanging his head and turning away, covering his face with his hands.

"Mark!" Sean cried, pushed to the wall and feeling straps around his wrists, binding them together, realisation hit him like a ton of bricks when he looked forward and saw Jay standing a few feet from him, loading a gun.

Sean gulped and stared at him with a hard gaze, sending him a glare as soon as they made eye contact. "Sean William McLoughlin, you are hereby receiving a death sentence in order from your crimes in murder and other fields of classification, what will your last words be?" Jay said monotonously, staring blankly at Sean.

"I love you Mark!" Sean looked towards him, seeing him almost step closer, a determined look in his face.

"Very well" Jay held up the weapon, pointing it at Sean's head, watching as Sean shut his eyes tightly, clenching his teeth and waiting for it all to end, his thoughts surrounding Mark, wanting to only have him in his dying moments.

He heard a bang but was suddenly jerked aside, making him stumble and gasp, opening his eyes, blood splattering over him as he watched Mark fall to the ground lifelessly, realising that Mark just took the death penalty for him.
