Chapter 5//Romeo

A boy that was sitting with Jayden and Amira offered me a seat with at their table. The only seat available was one directly opposite Amira. I noticed her freckled cheeks had flushed a subtle shade of pink. What was that all about? She sipped daintily on can of Diet Coke. Aaron and Jayden introduced me to another boy, Toby. They told me they all had met at boxing when they were around 6 or 7. Jayden and Amira were not in a relationship as I first thought. They had been best friends for years. They told me about their suspension, and why.
I was appalled that an older boy could hit someone like Amira, and respected Jayden for defending her. I had to pluck up the courage to talk to her.
"So do you do anything else, like outside of boxing?" I asked.
"I used to do musicals." Amira said.
"Oh yeah," said Jayden "I watched her in The Wizard Of Oz once." He got out his phone and showed me the pictures of Amira in a blue-and-White checked dress and ruby-red kitten heels. She looked beautiful.
"Aw!" I said. I realised what I had said a fraction too late. Amira was smiling at the ground and blushing, Jayden was looking at Aaron and Toby. They knew I liked her.
"I'm just going to pop to the toilet." Amira announced. She got up and walked swiftly to the ladies. Jayden leaned over the table.
"Romeo, we're not stupid. We know you like Amira." I looked at him.
"Okay, yes I do." I instantly felt the fear. He was definitely going to tell her.
"Romeo, I love Amira to death, she's like a sister to me." Aaron and Toby nodded.
"She's never had a  boyfriend," That shocked me. "Ask her out of you want, but if you hurt her, you'll have to answer to us." He laughed and I knew it was a joke.
"I'd never hurt her." I said sincerely.
Toby laughed. "I know for a fact she'll go out with you anyway."
"Why?" I asked.
"Because she's had a crush on you since she was 11 years old." He said.
Oh my life. I could barely process this when Amira came back and sat down. Jayden asked me if I wanted to swap numbers, and he saved his in my phone as 'Jayden👊🏼'. Toby and Aaron did aswell.
"What about Amira? Do you want hers aswell?" Aaron said with a smirk.
"Yeah, I do actually." I said. I handed Amira my phone and she gave me hers. I saved my number as "Romeo💘". I knew she would take it as a joke. In the few hours I had spent with her, she had the type of jokey personality you could fall in love with. She gave me my phone back and had saved her number under "Amira👫". I looked up from my phone at her and she was smiling. I smiled at her. Brooklyn came up behind me.
"Hey guys, am I right in thinking Romeo just got someone's number?" He said smirking. I went red.
"I know you like her dumbass. She's cute, go for it. Dad likes her, just talk to her!" He whispered in my ear.

15 minutes of flirty eye contact with Amira and good conversation with Jayden, Aaron and Toby, and Dad, Brooklyn and Cruz came over.
"C'mon Romeo, we're going." Said Dad.
He shook hands with the lads and gave Amira a quick hug, and Cruz and Brook did the same. I stood up and shook Jayden, Aaron and Toby's hands, then stood before Amira. She gave me a tight hug. I wrapped me arms around her stomach and hugged her back.
"See you soon?" She asked.
"Hopefully." I said. I walked out of the door and got in the car
