I hit the punchbag with such a force I nearly pulled it off off its stainless steel support beams . I was letting of steam, trying to distract myself from the worry I had about my date with Gigi. Was it a date? I really liked her, but did she feel the same? I hit the bag again. Amira was in the corner, practicing her spinning kicks. I tried not to look at the door, silently willing Gigi to walk through it. When she did, 5 minutes later, I was taken aback. She was wearing a cheerleading uniform, white skintight shorts and top with a teal trim. Her long hair was up in a high ponytail, with a white bow in the front. She looked stunning. She saw me staring at her, smiled and winked.

Gigi's P.O.V

I walked into Jay's boxing gym, shaking. There was no way he thought this was like, a date. I walked through the door and saw Jay immediately. He was hitting a punchbag. His strength was shocking and his muscly arms seemed to burst through his tight boxing top. His long fringe fell over his forehead but  his sharp cheek and jaw bones took centre stage. I was overwhelmed by his attractiveness. My heart fluttered and I stood there watching him. He looked over and saw me. His eyes flicked up and down, eyeing up my cheerleaders uniform. I knew it was not the most ideal outfit for a date, but I knew he wouldn't care. He winked at me and gestured for me too sit down. I sat in the viewing area and watched him. Amira saw me and waved, I blew her a kiss in return. I watched Jay do the rest of his class; punching, kicks, and boxing matches. I watched him fight, and every time he someone threw a punch I got scared. He came off the training mats unharmed, came straight too me, and threw his arms around me. He planted a kiss on the top of my head. I saw everyone looking, and Amira took it further with a wolf whistle. Jayden grabbed his kit bag and we walked out the door. Amira came out and ran past us.
"Someones in a hurry!" Jayden called out.
"I'm going on a date with Romeo, talk to you pair later!" She shouted over her shoulder. Me and Jayden walked hand in hand through the park, on our way to Pizza Hut. It was a place that with anyone else, I would have felt threatened, but somehow Jay made me feel safe. We got to Pizza Hut, sat, and ordered a Hawaiian pizza to share. We spoke about every topic I could think of; music, politics, even things as cliche as the weather. There wasn't one moment I felt awkward. He made me laugh  and I never wanted to leave. I glanced over at the door. My eyes were drawn to a sea of flashing lights. A boy walked in, hood up and sunglasses on, holding hands with a girl. She was wearing the same strange getup. He pulled down his hood once they were inside, and so did she. It was Romeo and Amira! They sat down at a table and ordered their food. Jayden was watching them too.
"It's sad they can't go anywhere without all that." He said.
"Yeah." I agreed.
He held my hand over the table and leaned forward. He kissed me gently on the lips and sat back down.
"If I take you home safely now, your parents will like me and let me take you out again. C'mon Gee, lets get out of here." I glanced back at Ammi and Romeo. They were holding hands, deep in conversation. We walked back through the town and back to my house. Jayden said hello to my family and then left.
It was the most magical night ever.
