"She's gone to her happy place." Gigi and I said simultaneously. Amira had a place she would go when she needed to think, when she was upset or confused or panicky. She was there a lot, and all of the staff knew her. Me and Gi ran through town and down side streets. We came to a small pink and black shop. Even in the street outside, you could smell the delicious desserts that were being made inside. Through the window, we could see Amira, crying steadily over a slice of her go-to fixer-upper dessert. It was on the vegan menu, but Amira had to have it because of her lactose-intolerance. Rainbow cake made her happier again. Gigi pushed open the door and we walked in. Gigi ordered a warm cookie dough with ice cream, and I got a Mars bar milkshake. We took it over to the table Amira was at and sat down next to her. She didn't even look up.
"Amira, it's all a mistake. He didn't even kiss her! She kissed him and he pulled away!" I told her gently. She sniffed." He only pulled away once I came in." She said, crying harder. "Well, she can have him. I never want to see him again!". I looked at Gigi. She sighed and took Amira's hand. "Amira, we know you're upset, but you have to see that maybe it was that girl?" Gigi tried to point the blame at Orphelia, whose fault it actually was.
"Amira, it was her fault. I was there from the moment she came in and she set her sights on Romeo from the start. She pulled him in, and she was flirting. She was doing it before the class started and do you know what Romeo said to me? He said that he didn't want to talk to her and he loved you! That the truth!" She sniffed and ate more of her cake. I sipped my milkshake. Gigi and Amira were on Twitter, so I checked my phone. I had a text.
"Jayden, where is she? I need her. I need to get her back. Where are you? Romeo had texted me at least 10 times in the last 10 minutes.
"Meet us in the park in 15 minutes." I texted him back.
"Amira, I'm taking you home. I'm gonna explain to your parents and Antonio is probably going to kill Romeo but right now Amira, you need to be home."
"Okay." Sniffed Amira. She got up and held Gigi's hand. We walked out and I managed to get them to go in the direction that would take us through the park. We walked through the emerald trees and jade fields and I saw Romeo sitting on a bench.Romeo's P.O.V
I saw her walking through the park, hand in hand with Gigi. She was crying, her usually pale face now pink. This brought tears to my own eyes. I needed to make her see that I never meant for any of that with Orphelia was a mistake, and I never wanted it. I could believe it when she kissed me. I was in shock, and that was why I stood there for so long. I wanted Amira back. When she ran out, Aaron tried to calm me down. I was furious; at myself, at Orphelia, at Amira for believing that I would betray her. She was getting closer. Suddenly she looked and saw me. She stopped and started shouting at Jayden.
"Why is he here? You did this on purpose Jayden!" She was screaming at him and I walked over.
"Amira I need to tell you what happened!" I said
"I saw enough, Romeo Beckham! What do you not understand about I never want to see you again?" She screamed, the tears flowing faster.
"Amira, you have to realise that she grabbed me, you can ask anyone! I love you, and I always will! Why would I want her when I've got you? Please, give me a second chance? I'll never let anything like this happen again. Please?" I was crying now, and Jayden put a hand on my shoulder. Gigi had an arm around Amira. "I don't know Romeo. Just leave me alone." She pushed past us and ran, out of the park. I didn't see her again until my plan was perfect.
