The sunrise was extremely eye catching and beautiful. The combination of yellow, blue, and purple mixed together in the sky sent a peaceful feeling coursing through my body.
Scott stayed at my side for the entire morning. Mostly, we just conversed with each other about ourselves. I learned that Scott loves the color blue, his birthday is October twenty-fifth, he's sixteen years old, and Scott's favorite food is croissants with tea.
Scott learned that my favorite color is purple, my birthday is May seventeenth, I'm also sixteen, and my favorite food is cake with tea. We have a lot in common with each other actually.
Just by spending time with Scott, I felt a pang in my chest every few minutes. I thought that the pangs were trying to signal something to me, but I didn't figure anything important out.
Scott was a very lively and polite gentleman. He didn't interrupt me once when I was talking. He was also a very good listener. The way he stared into my eyes just made me want to share more. I wanted to tell him everything. I wanted to tell him about the warm feeling in my chest, but I decided against it. I didn't want Scott to think I was going crazy.
I listened to Scott talk about himself. He's a very interesting person. I want to know everything about him. Sometimes, I wished that I could see into Scott's thoughts to see what he was thinking.
Scott gently slid his arm around my waist. However, I didn't notice it at all. In fact, I thought he was just standing in front of me. His innocent eyes searched mine for a moment.
"Gwen, I've just been thinking about us and our possible future. Anything is possible really. What do you want to do together? The choice is yours really." Scott put his other hand on my cheek and cradled my face in his hand.
I was too lost to reply. His eyes seemed to snatch me off of my feet. I was mesmerized by them.
Scott snapped his fingers lightly. "Um, Gwen? Are you listening to me?"
I snapped back into reality and blushed profusely. "Sorry, I just got carried away. Anyway, I don't care what we do. I'm game for anything as long as you keep it a surprise. There are too few surprises in life these days."
Scott smiled warmly and nodded. His hand never left my face, and his arm never left me waist. "As you wish."
