I woke up in the morning feeling lazy and disoriented. I yawned very loudly and tried to stand up.

However, I stumbled and fell flat on my face. When Scott heard the noise, he woke up in an instant and saw my predicament. He fell on the floor, laughing at me.

"Hey, you're not perfect either!" I couldn't help but to yell at him.

"At least I can walk more than two feet without tripping and falling on my face in the mornings!" Scott's words were like a jab to my pride.

"Why you little!" I grabbed his neck and bit it, hard.

"Yeow!" Scott sounded like a wounded animal. "Why the fuck did you do that?"

I just rolled my eyes. "You know, for a man, you're aren't very tough. You know that right?"

Scott's usually innocent brown eyes were full of bloodlust. "Shut up." His voice was eerily calm and steady.

"What's your problem Scott? Are you an your period?" I couldn't help but too tese him more. It was such fun.

"Yes I am actually. I'm glad you noticed." His voice was playful again. I knew that he had gotten over whatever was bothering him.

We went outside about five minutes later. There was nice, gentle, breeze blowing my hair around. It also tickled my skin.

The sun was bright, and there wasn't a cloud in sight. "Perfect!" My voice sounded all wishy-washy and far away.

There was a loud snap of a twig behind me. I spun around, alarmed. There was another girl there.

She had sparkly blonde hair and big blue eyes. She was wearing a black fedora, black clip-on tie, a whit ebutton-down shirt, jeans, a jean jacket, and a pair of black combat boots.

The girl stared right at me, as if deciding whether I was a friend or a foe. My hands were trembling and my legs were weak.

Scott jumped out from the bushes and tackled the girl. I put my head in my hands and breathed a heavy sigh.

Before Scott touched her, the girl threw out her fist and punched him hard in the face.

Scott was on the ground, shaking. "What are you, a ninja?

The girl just grinned. "Maybe I am, maybe I am not."

Scott laughed. "Use contractions much?"

The girl glared; her eyes full of bloodlust.

Scott whimpered and shut up.

I decided to speak. "What's your name?"

"Emma. What's your name Gwen?"

"You just said it."

"What are you talking about? Of course I didn't! I just met you Gwen!"

"Stop using my name! It's freaky!"

Emma pulled out a bottle filled with a stange, blue liquid and took a long drink. "Nope!"

"What're you drinking?" I was extremely curious.

"Gatorade." To my surprise, she finished the bottle in another drink. "That hit the spot; I was parched."

She still held the bottle in her hand. I didn't know why, but I didn't feel like asking.

Scott got up off the ground and brushed himself off. "I think you broke one of my nails Emma! How dare you!?"

"I'm glad." She smiled and jutted out her chin at him.

Scott walked over to Emma and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Now, I'm sure that we can all be friends right?"

Emma slammed the plastic bottle on Scott's head. "Don't touch me bitch!" She shoved him away.

I stepped forward as Emma raised her bottle for another strike. "Stop! He's just an idiot!"

Emma was furious. "Shut up!" She ignored my request and hit Scott hard in the head again.

He fell to the ground and started babbling on and on. "I see birdies! Is that a good thing?"

I came to Scott's defense. "Please stop, Scott's already delusional enough!"

Emma just shrugged. "Yeah, sure whatever."

Another girl with curly brown hair jumped down from the tree. She wore black framed glasses and had blue eyes. "Come on Emma! Let's go hunt for unicorns!"

Emma rolled her eyes. "Okay, Izzy. Why don't you lead the way?"

Izzy's eyes shone. "Okay!"

They both disappeared within seconds.

I grabbed Scott by the arm and pulled him to his feet. "That was an adventure."
