No later Mr. Capitan walks to our island of misfit toys aka our spot at the cafeteria I don't know who permitted Mario to sit with us but he is.
Raven Kevin and I exchanged looks as he continued to walk comfortably.
I did say we were friends. All eyes were on us he just shrugged and stole a fry from my plate.
"Ignore them"
I still glanced at him when the stares turned to a scowl. All he offered was a genuine smile making me comfortable again
"We need to talk about the yearbook" Shaun demanded walking to our table and looking around
I wasn't going to play with his demands
"Well, this is my friend.."
"Mario I know him"
They had a death glare match for a while Kevin and Raven stayed quiet very intrigued as I was.
"Let's talk please," Shaun asked nicely
I stare at Kevin and Raven already shooing me away.
Mario stares daggers at him before anything comes of their stare. I comply and follow him away from the cafeteria to a secluded area he checks and double checks no one is around I cross my arms impatiently
"I think the coast is clear"
"Who did you tell?"
He was still looking around now nervous his bad-boy demeanor was on edge
"No one"
"How did you know?"
"Simple your bOoo..dd...y"
Well that came out pretty mellow but I just confessed I was checking him out
"So you were checking me out?"
I roll my eyes his scowl suddenly turns into a smirk
"No, I just noticed that tiny scar there"
I poke his chin god it chizzled. I take my finger back before my hand feels him up. I look behind as my hormones are out of wack
"Oh right, but let's not mention my secret to no one got it"
"Why would I?"
"Just don't it will ruin my chances with.. ." he looks around and hesitantly says" .....someone "
"Am I the only one that knows?"
"Yeah as far as I know "
"You're very good actually"
"You skate? "
All of sudden intrigued by the conversation seeming more relaxed
"I'm rusty I used to be back in middle school now I don't know "
"I'm sure a few practices revive your old skateboard side "
"Ha yeah with a bunch of scars and bruises "
"Well you're talking to the best here"
"Is there anything else you don't do?"
"Spinach I can't do Spinach "
"What if it appeared in a bikini rocking surfer chick body with sexy lips will you like spinach then?"
"Hmm tempting but Nah" we chuckle
"Hey, everything cool here?"
Mario stops by we both look at him but their stare seems to always stay between them. I'll question Mario later
"Um, I should head back. Mario don't you have to go to the locker room"
I pushed Mario's arm and watched him reluctantly walk away his eyes set on Shaun before he walked away
"What is it with you and that guy?" Shawn ask
"Typical ancient history "

"Today after school we have to take a couple of pictures don't fuck this up for me with your Mario Moore crush"
"I will when you stop drooling over the cheerleaders"

"Defending him?"
"No defending myself I'm not your daily trash you use and toss"
"Oh because you know me so well?"
"Do you know yourself?"
"Good one...were fucking teens were never going to know ourselves entirely we're still discovering who we want to be"
"Dam you know people usually don't answer my deep questions because that's how I win but good job"
He rolls his eyes

One of his eyebrows lifted slightly up to emphasize a challenge as mine did the same

I crossed my arms and looked at Kevin and Raven who were staring at us the whole time. She wiggled her eyebrows at me and joined us. I stared back at Shaun realising I just spent my lunch break with him. He cleared his throat and looked away. I look back to Raven
"Um, I'm going to the pot...facilities" I stuttered trying to find the word
"Oh me too," she says interlocking are arms to walk away
"So Mario Moore or Shaun McGuire?"
"Or neither, I barely know one to have one. I have to know them and Mario is just the past you know that "
"Ok i'll help " She opened the doors to the restroom skipped to the counters sat down and swung her legs I stood in front of her
"Um no thanks it's pretty simple Shaun is a f×ck boy and Matt is a football guy"
"Nope, Shaun is mysterious passionate and charming, and definitely famous with the ladies. I have only seen him flirt. Mario is his arch-enemy. His popularity is because of football stuff. On the plus side they both have killer bodies. Who knows either one is a good choice but with Shaun, you're taking more of a risk"
"I appreciate the information but I'm fine and I know Mario and you are too I'm not going back to that"
