Shaun managed to dodge his punch

"Mario stop"

He didn't instead he tried again

"I told you to stay away from her !!! Now everyone's going to know you skater boy"

This time Shuan punched Mario

"Would you two stop !!"

"Fuck you, Moore!!"

Mario stopped chasing him and pointed at me.

"Stay away from her Mcguire"

"Mario you can't tell people not to hang out with me"

"Newsflash I have but this fucking asshole shows up and doesn't get it"

Wait ...What? I stopped and froze where I stood letting that piece of information sink in. So they did fight before but Shaun is innocent he doesn't like me.  I look back at them bickering and dodging punches I manage to speak up getting their attention

"Stop!!... He likes Leyla"

That got Mario's attention and walked up to me still furious.

"Then why is he with you? I paid him to get information from you!! Leyla was just a pawn!! But no Shauny boy here crossed the line"

I looked at Shaun.

" Shut up Mario!!"

"What?!! Tell her how you were using her to get to Leyla and I was using you to get to her" 

"Mario I am not friends with Leyla?"

"Oh, you think you're both slick? your drunk SISTER loves to cry about you"

I looked back at Shaun.

"His skateboarding he needed my opinion alright there just don't tell anyone Mario about me and Leyla. Shaun and I are just friends,  well not after this"

"And what missed the opportunity to end the social life he created?  Now  his Mr. Allstar the player who benched me "

He hasn't changed football is still his main priority there's no more room for anything or anyone else and the reason. I left because I wasn't going to change who he was.

"No one will believe you" Shuan spoke up

"Say it McGuire no one will believe me....why? Because you hang out with her! Or you truly are just like one of her friends? Admit it you are ashamed of her. I am not I learned my lesson "

Mario's words sting. I can't take my eyes off Shaun. This is how it has always been. I gulped down the knot in my throat once more looking at Shaun.  

"Shaun" my barely audible voice cracked his mouth open nothing came out and he looked away
What did I expect?

He looks at Mario and back at me and nothing no remarks not even denying it.

"Arlene listen I wanted to tell you ...."

Mario smirks at me. This is amusing as if he won something. I walk up to him. I might not be able to wipe that smirk but the slap he got from me did help .

"Did you follow us here? "

"Just this retard who you trust into showing your house but not me we went out we dated we were friends WE had something Arlene and he waltz in and you open up to him. I bet Raven doesn't even know your address"

"It's all past tense Mario everything we had is in the past now! !!"

"Right because it meant nothing to you"

"You wrong! I did like you ! It meant nothing to you! You're the one that gave up on us !! You chose someone else over me! Do you have any idea how shitty that feels like? "
