"So," I begin to ask. "What kind of monsters do we hunt?"
"Oh you know," he says, smiling. "Vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness. WE ARE THE SLAYERS."
"OMG BUFFY. I LOVE BUFFY IN A NON HETEROSEXUAL WAY!" I exclaim with way too much excitement.
"I KNOW RIGHT! IF I LIKED GIRLS I WOULD TOTALLY DATE BUFFY!" Will yells enthusiastically.
Then it hits me.
"Wait, you just said if you liked girls. Are you saying that your gay?"
"Yeah, you got a problem?" Will asks, suddenly defensive.
"Oh my gods, no. It's just... I'm kinda gay too." I admit.
What the hell are you doing? sensible inner voice asks.
He's flirting. Hehehehe, mushy voice says, all singsong.
"Fuck, am I flirting?" I ask myself.
Will gasps very, very dramatically, making me realize I said that aloud.
"Omigods, did you just say the f word?" he asks, shocked.
"What?" I ask, realizing he didn't notice the second part. "Oh, fuck."
He gasps again, this time even more dramatically.
"For gosh's sake watch your language!"
"Why are you so offended? I've heard you swear."
"Well yes, but I've never said," he lowers his voice. "The F WORD!"
"Oh well in that case." I begin. "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!"
He gasps yet again.
"Aw, your so cute when your offended."
Even when your making fun of him you can't help but flirt, mushy voice reminds me.
I'm screwed.
