AN: In case you were wondering, all chapters are from Nico's POV unless other why's stated (so this chapter is from Nico's POV)
I keep my eyes closed so he doesn't know I heard him. He loves me! This the best day of my life! Or unlife? I don't know.
But said when he thought I wasn't listening, so he definitely loves me.
He loves you! he loves you! Mushy inner voice chants.
Okay fine, He loves you! He loves you! Sensible inner voice chants along.
My inner voices are agreeing, a boy just told me he loves me. I'm in la la land.
I'm tempted to open my eyes and tell Will that I love him too, but I'm too scared. What if he changes his mind? What if I misheard him? I just enjoy laying in his arms.
"Hey," Will begins. "Wake up sleepy head."
"Mmmmm... What?" I grumble, pretending like I just woke up.
"We have to go report our kill to the boss," Will says.
"Audiblio?" I ask, remembering the annoying god who interrupted our conversation.
"No, the big boss. The one who orders all the other gods around."
"We're reporting to the KING OF THE GODS?"
"Yeah his name is Markimis."
"Do any of the gods have normal names?"
"No, definitely not." He laughs and grabs my hand.
"Let's go."
We arrive in the throne room of Markimis. Everything, and I mean everything is covered in gold. The walls are painted gold, there are little golden statues of a really buff shirtless man. Even the curtains are gold.
"Welcome to Markimis's throne room," Will says.
"Is that him?" I ask, pointing to one of the little golden statues.
"Well that was him in his prime..." Will giggles a little. "He looks slightly different now."
Suddenly a rather large man, both in weight and stature, stomped into the room.
"Hello again Will," he begins in a loud voice. "And it's very nice to meet you Nico."
"So, we just came to tell you that we killed the vampires Yvetsa and Theodono," Will says. "We are ready for our next assignment."
"Okay, well, there's a rouge ghost around here," Markimis says. "we need you to take care of them. Audiblio will give you the rest of the info."
Suddenly we're back in the foggy land.
"Shit, I hate when he does that," Will says.
"He seems okayish," I say. "He didn't seem rude, he just didn't seem..."
"Very friendly," Will adds.
"Awwwwww we're completing each other's..."
"Sandwiches." Will laughs.
"Your adorable," I tease.
"C'mon it's time to go." He kisses me on the cheek. "We can flirt later."
He takes me by the hand and we leave la la land.
