Tyler had himself dressed in a red tuxedo, the shirt inside black. His hair fluffed up as he unbuttoned the first button on his shirt to make it seem more relaxed. He tugged his sleeves cuffs a bit to make sure he looked sophisticated and amazing at the same time. He Spritz some cologne on and waited for Gabby, his hands clammy from nerves. He was taking Gabby to an expensive restaurant to feel special, well it was a double date with Kate and Josh too. They were going to Nick & Stef's Steakhouse, it was expensive and fancy. He walked out of the bathroom to see Gabby slipping on some black heels, she was wearing a Jerry Gilden Red Wine velvet dress that matched the shade of his tuxedo, her hair curled and her bangs pinned back. She looked up to see Tyler and couldn't help but grin, she only bothered to put on red lipstick and some mascara. Tyler ran his fingers through his hair, fluffing it.
"You look absolutely gorgeous, my love." He smirked as he put his hand out for her to grab. She looked up at him and rolled her eyes, she wasn't that into dressing up nice, but she would do it for Tyler. She put her hand into his and tried not to fall, he hand clutched onto Tyler's as if he was the only thing that would keep her from falling, which was true. Now they just needed to sit and she'd be fine, but she also really wanted food. They walked out of their hotel room and walked down the stairs to the outside, waiting for Kate and Josh before they called an Über.Kate walked out of the bathroom with her own pair of black heels, her hair straightened and pulled back to where it was braided down. She decided to wear the dress she bought with her only money which was a Byron Lars Carissima Sheath, most expensive thing she regretted buying. She wore a pair of pearl earrings and the bracelet she got back when Josh asked her out at camp. Josh walked out wearing black skinny jeans with a white shirt tucked in with a black bow tie. He looked at Kate and realized he was very underdressed, he was about to walk back into the bathroom but Kate turned around and grinned.
"You look so handsome." She said rubbing her hand on his shoulder as she planted a kiss, now as tall as him. "Wanna head out?" She asked running her fingers through her hair to do some last minute brushing, Josh nodded his head as he took her hand and leaded her down to the lobby, he was rather quiet and nervous. He just wanted to go back to the hotel room, he felt self conscious and that people were staring at them. Kate noticed this and pulled him to the hallway in the lobby bathroom, her hands by her sides as she tried to respect his privacy.
"Joshua, is everything ok?" She asked quietly, her voice trying to be soothing as he frantically looked around, his eyes darting back and forth. His eyes landed on her as his breathing picked up, he looked as if he was about to cry. She frantically grabbed out her phone and texted Gabby and Tyler to go ahead and leave, she realized Josh wasn't ready. Josh began to cry as he rested his face on her shoulder, she wrapped her arms around his back and held him close, feeling his tears on her bare shoulders. She needed to get him back to the room. She snuck him up to the room and quickly rested him on the bed, she didn't want him to feel discomfort.She kicked off her heels and rushed to get him water, he was curled up as tears streamed down his face. She scurried back over to him and sat him up, putting the cup up to his lips and pouring it in slowly, then putting it in his grizzly hands that now looked soft and weak. She wiped his eye and sat next to him, her hands in her lap. "What's wrong?" She asked, looking up at him as he took a wimpy sip of the water.
"Nothing."His voice was emotionless and almost sounded dead. She grabbed her hand into his and made a circle with her thumb trying to soothe. "That's not true... you can tell me anything, you know that right?" She gripped onto his hand as he sunk into the bed. "I'm not good enough for you." He said softly as he looked at his jeans, and then at her dress. "Joshua.. That is not true. You are so amazing that I can't ev-"
"I would've embarrassed you tonight." His voice was as dead as him, a single tear rolling down his cheek. She lowered her eyebrows in concern as she processed what he said, her heart sinking as she repeated it in her mind like an old broken record with no use. "Josh, you looked amazing. You were you, you don't have to make yourself fancy for me. I love your abnormal hair color, your grizzly teeth, the way your tongue sticks between your teeth when you smile, and other wonderful things." She honestly was letting her heart do the talking now as she rested her head against his shoulder. He sneaked a look down at her and began to let another tear roll down his cheek, his hand gripping onto her's. She looked up to see him with a small smile on his lips. "I-It's weird to think your dad hated me."
"I didn't really care that he did, as long as you didn't hate me."
"I would never hate you.""Then you shouldn't hate yourself since you mean as much to me as much as I do to you."
Author's Note;;
This chapter was short and a bit sad because that's how I feel right now, tomorrow I'll try to write the Gabbler part. I'm too sad to write it and I don't want to effect it that way since its for Gabby.
