Liv's POV

"Mommy mommy mommy mommy mom-"
"Yes bean?" I interrupt Michael.
"When's Camilla gonna be here?" He asks.
"Soon." I say, glancing at the clock. It was 12 o'clock sharp.

A few minutes go by before we hear the doorbell ring. Michael runs to the door and stands on his toes, trying to twist the doorknob. I laugh and open the door for him. There stood Camilla and Luke. A huge smile was spread across Camilla's face as she barely clung onto Luke's hand, which was barely visible encased in his big hand. I smile up at Luke.
"Nice to see you." I say.
"Nice to see you too." Michael and Camilla softly giggle. I choose to ignore it as I motion for them to come in.

The kids go off and start doing whatever it is small children do. Luke and I sat and talked in the living room.

It was just like last time. We had coffee, we laughed at our dumb jokes, we even went a little more in-depth into our lives. Just to the next level of basic things-birthdays, family, childhood.

We talked for a good hour until Michael and Camilla ran in, holding multiple sheets of different colored construction paper.
"Camilla and I have a presentation for you." Michael says. I set my coffee cup on the table and focus my attention from Luke to Michael.

Camilla turns the construction paper towards us, revealing (somewhat illegible) writing that said "why Michael's mommy and Camilla's daddy should date". I giggle to myself. Camilla puts the first sheet down, revealing the one behind it, that said "Me and Camilla get along so well already", which was obviously written by Michael. The next paper said "Michael's mommy has long hair that I can put my bows in", which was written by Camilla.

The rest of the 'presentation' was a bunch of reasons why we should date, from "we get along so well" to "we'd finally have a full family". Honestly, it got kind of sad at some parts.

"So what do you say?" Camilla squeaks and puts her hands behind her back.
"We'll have to think about it." Luke answers. He leans down to her height. "Liv and daddy have a lot of other things we have to think about first, like if we actually like each other, if it would work out, and if either of us are even ready to start dating again." Camilla pouts.
"But it's not a no?" She giggles.
"Go play with your friend." Luke ruffles her hair as she gives a wide smile and runs off with Michael.

Luke sits back down on the couch next to me.
"So I think our kids want us to talk about dating." Luke says.
"Maybe." I giggle.
"So, um..." He starts off awkwardly. "Are you even ready to start dating again? Because I don't want to scare you."
"I think I'm ready." I give off a warm smile, inviting more conversation in.
"Okay then, I guess this is a conversation we must have." Luke says, sounding a bit nervous. "First things first, we need to establish if we have feelings for each other." There was an awkward silence. "Because I know I like you." I was taken aback at his comment, but only for a brief moment.
"I like you too." I say and a smile tugs at his lips. "But..." His smile fades.
"Oh no. A but is never good."
"No, it's just... If we do start dating, I don't want to tell the kids. If we broke up, it would crush them." I explain.
"You have a good point." Luke says. "So we'd just have to keep it a secret."
"Exactly." I say. The smile reappears on Luke's face. He cups my hands in his.
"Well then, Liv, will you go out with me?" I smile.
"Of course I will."
