"Mommy." Michael stood in front of me. "What day is it?"
"Sunday." I answer. "Why?"
"I wanna see Camilla again." He pouts and crosses his arms.
"Bean, you saw her yesterday."
"But I wanna see her again." He says. "Best friends shouldn't be away for this long." I laugh.
"That's true."
"Why haven't we had your best friend over?" He asks.
"Oh, well I don't have a best friend." I explain.
"WHAT THE HECK?!" He screams. "But everyone has a best friend!"
"I just don't talk to that many people." I say.
"You talk to Camilla's daddy." Michael says. "Would that make him your best friend?"
"I guess so." I smile.
"You should really-"
"Bean, I already told you, I don't have time for dating." Michael pouts again.
"Yesterday when Camilla and I were playing with dolls we named them after you and we had a wedding for you."
"Well that's sweet." I say. "Maybe one day you'll have a daddy."
"Why can't I get a daddy sooner?"
"That's just not how it works, bean. Now, it's 8, so let's go take a bath and go to bed." Michael smiles and we head off to the bathroom.

Luke's POV

I was woken up Monday morning to the sound of Lucy running around the house. I rub my eyes and drag myself to the hallway to see what was going on.
"What're you running around for?" I ask with a sleepy smile.
"I get to see Michael today!!" Camilla screams. "We need to leave in 5 minutes."
"Okay." I say. I go to the living room and put my shoes on. I didn't even bother getting dressed, it was just a drop off anyways.

As I was putting my shoes on, I noticed a new drawing on the coffee table.
"Camilla." I say. "What's this?"
"Oh, that's a drawing of me and Michael and you and Michael's mommy!" She explains, pointing to each person as she speaks.
"And why are me and Michael's mommy holding hands?" I ask.
"Because she's my new mommy." She says. I stare at her for a few seconds, blink, and lift her up onto my lap.
"We need to have a talk." I say. "I know you're excited that Michael's mommy could be your new mommy. But I don't know if I could date right now."
"But mommy's been gone for years." Camilla says, tears collecting in her eyes. "I just want a new mommy." My heart breaks.
"I know..." I stroke her hair. "Maybe some day."
"You've said that for so long! Some day is today!"
"I'm sorry, Camilla." She pouts. "Let's get you to daycare."

We arrive at daycare right when Michael and Liv do. I greet Liv with a smile.
"Good morning." She says.
"Not very." I answer. She furrows her eyebrows. "Camilla was crying this morning because she wants a new mommy."
"Michael was doing that last night. Well, he wasn't crying. But he was upset."
"Maybe we should just give up and date." I joke and laugh to myself.
"Maybe." She scoffs.
"Daddy, can Michael and I have another play date tomorrow?" Camilla asks. I look over at Liv.
"You guys can come over at noon." Liv says with a smile.
"Perfect." I say. "See you tomorrow." I look down at Camilla. "And I'll see you after work." I kiss her head and leave.

I see you, Tara
