The nightmare Before Christmas was playing on my laptop, but I wasn't paying attention at all. I couldn't, with such a beautiful man sat next to me. Frank didn't seem to be paying attention either, he was either looking around my dull room in wonder, or eating as if he hadn't in weeks, a thought I wanted to push out of my mind as it came. We've known each other for a few hours and have only said a couple monotonous sentences to each other, and I wanted to learn more about the beautiful man sat next to me. I paused the film and turned to him.

"So Frank, I guess if we're going to be sharing a bed, we should get to know each other a little better." He looked a little shocked but nodded.

"I suppose you're right." He whispered, now looking at his fingers, instead of around my room. I moved myself so I was now sat in front of him, as he rested with his knees against his chest, on my pillows.

"Why don't we play a game? We can take turn asking questions." Frank started to look a little panicked, "If you feel uncomfortable, you don't have to answer, we can just move on, okay?" Frank simply nodded "Okay, we'll start easy. How old are you?"

"I'm nineteen." Frank said, letting out a quick sigh of relief.

"Okay, so am I, do you want to ask a question now?"

"Umm, sure. What's your favourite colour?" He still wasn't looking at me, but I was determined that he would be comfortable around me by the end of the night. We continued to ask questions with no real meaning. I now know that Frank's favourite colour is red, his favourite animal is a dog and many other pieces of useless information.

"Okay, can we start asking more personal questions" Again frank started to panic. His breathing got heavy and he seemed to tighten his grip on my bowl of popcorn we had been sharing. "You don't have to answer anything you're not comfortable." He nodded again. "Why were you sleeping on the streets." Regret filled my body and I watched Frank practically sink into the bed, looking even further away from me than before. However, I didn't take it back. I was more than interested as to why this beautiful man was sleeping on the streets. In this town it seemed that beautiful people were always fine. They always had a house and a job. Beautiful people were treated as better, but acted as if everything was equal. That's why my family's okay. Both my mother and father are attractive and they even managed to have an attractive son. Of course they also managed to have me; the mistake, and if they could trade mistakes they definitely would, but they had already made their money by that point, so their mistake wasn't that important. Frank should be living the life I was. In fact, he should have been living an even better one. Instead, however, he was sleeping in an alleyway covered in dark blankets.

"My parents," he was whispering again, "decided they didn't ne- want me, so they made me leave."

"Do you know why?"

"I guess I was too much hassle. I wasn't worth the struggle." I watched as a tear rolled down his cheek. My hand raised to his cheek, as I wiped away the tear and lent into hug him.

"You're worth everything"

We came to a mutual agreement to stop the question game and continue watching the movie. He had now moved so our arms were touching and he was lying down. The simple gesture put a smile on my face. As the movie came to a finish I looked to my side and saw he was doing the same. We looked almost the same, except for the tears trailing down his face. Without a word, I pulled him into another hug as he started to cry into my shoulder again. We stayed like that for what could have only been ten minutes, but it felt like a perfect eternity. He pulled away, with blood shot eyes. I wanted to ask what was wrong. I wanted to know why he was crying. I wanted to know what had hurt him so much. But I couldn't ask, he answered my questions before I was able to ask them.

"They used to hurt me."
