Whats A Girl To Do

Anastasia sucked her breath them turned. "Yes?"

"Wheres your cousin Lucas?" Kate giggled giddily. She was such a sloppy drunk. It irritated Ana.

"He's..." Lie. "Not here."

Just as they turned their attention to her, They ignored Anastasia.

She continued walking out to her cousin and a few of his friends. It was not freezing but cold enough to make her rub her arms.

Andre was at the bottom of the steps waiting for her. "I stayed to walk with you."

She nodded. "Well thank you." A smile slipped out and Anastasia looked away.

"Do you want my jacket?" He looked sideways at her.

"No thank you."

They walked next to each other until they came across Lucas at his car. "We were heading to the movies if thats cool."

"To meet your girlfriend." Andre coughed and pretended to clear his throat.

"Sure." Anastasia went to the passengers side and a guy was already in the passengers seat, he nodded at her. "Sup."

"Hi." Anastasia replied and sat in the back next ti Andre.

"Oh yeah. Anastasia do you remember James?" Lucas smiled.

"I'm sorry not really..." She strapped her seat belt in and remained quiet as all three began talking and poorly trying to stay on tune to The Who.

Lucas' cell phone went off and he slowed at a light. "Fuck." He pulled his phone out and put it to his ear. "Im on my way- Give me five minutes." His voice was softer. Anastasia took note of that. He said goodbye and hung up.

"Ohhh your in trouble." James laughed.

"Shut up." Lucas laughed and loosened his tie.

"What are we seeing?" James did the the same to his tie.

They came to a stop infront of the theaters and Lucas got out. "I'm seeing whatever she wants. I dont know about you."

"And he leaves us." Andre sighed.

They followed behind Lucas and he wrapped his arms around a girl. "Sorry Im late."

"Yeah, yeah."

Anastasia assumed that was Ava. She was pretty Anastasia said to herself.

"Im sorry." Lucas kissed her cheek.

"Hi Ava."

She turned and immediately turned red. "Oh. Hi. James. Andre." She looked at Anastasia and her guard went up. Something Anastasia realized was an immediate reaction from other girls. Did she look damaged?

"Thats my cousin, Anastasia." Lucas didnt notice.

Her face changed and she smiled. "Its so nice to meet someone from his family."

Anastasia nodded and put on a happy face. "I didnt even know he had a girlfriend."

She frowned and looked up at him. "You dont tell anyone?"

"No, no. I- " He panicked and looked around.

"Sorry." Anastasia muttered and Andre led her and James to buy movie tickets away from them. They agreed on tickets to the Purge and went inside. "He doesnt tell anyone?"

"He told Hayley but she said leave her."

"Thats rude." Anastasia didnt ask any further but, Hayleys arrogance was known.

"I need to take a leak." James headed toward the bathrooms and left Anastasia with Andre.

We're alone alot. Anastasia crossed her arms.

"Want anything?" He pulled his wallet out his pocket.

"Uhm. No Im good."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. But thanks."

He ordered a box of candy and a drink.

"Shouldnt we wait for James?" Anastasia looked around. She saw Lucas kissing his girlfriends side while she they were waiting in line for snacks.

"He'll find us." Andre shrugged and they began walking to the theater. A few people looked at them as why they were over dressed but, Anastasia didnt care nor did Andre notice.

They made it inside the theater and sat at the very back. Away from others.

"If he makes a move I swear to fucking God if he makes a move." Kennys whispers began and were drowned out as the previews grew louder.
At least I dont have to worry about that.

Anastasia grew comfortable as James made his

way towards them with a bag of popcorn, candy, and a drink.

"This is great."

"Yeah just dont act like a bitch." Andre looked at him. James sat next to him and offered them some of his food.

"We're good."

Anastasia would've agreed if it wasn't for the idea of Kenny abusing her in the dark if he got the chance.

Sighing heavily, Andre took notice and she felt a hand on her thigh. She didnt look at whose it was but, she was certain it wasnt Kennys. The lights dimmed and he removed his hand remained. As the opening credits began to roll her hand made its ways down on his.

"Just wait until you get home." Kenny whispered on the other side of her and it sent a shiver down Anastasia's spine. But, the reassuring hand under her own stroking her thigh calmed her. This was normal right?
