"Hey." Cynthia said as Alex walked into the kitchen/living room.

"Morning." Alex said back.

"Feel free to grab whatever you want." Cynthia said.

Alex nodded though all she ended up flung was pour herself a glass of water.

"Can I ask you something?" Alex said.

"Uh... yeah, sure." Cynthia said nervously. "Go for it."

"Is there something... different, about Bill?" Alex asked.

"Well he got stuffed into a human body if that's what you mean." Cynthia said nonchalantly.

"Oh. Okay." Alex said, shocked by Cynthia's calmness.

"But it's not like it's someone else's body!" Cynthia said panicky, realizing what she said.

Alex chuckled. "Really it's fine."

"Sorry." Cynthia said.

"Can everyone please shut up, your horrible voices are giving me a headache." Bill said walking in.

"That or the 5 martinis." Cynthia said. "I'm just amazed that you're upright."

"Or alive for that matter." Alex added.

Cynthia smirked.

"I like this one." She thought.

Bill's glared at them as they high-fived.

"Jealous?" Cynthia said.

"Please over such a mundane thing?" Bill retorted.

"Mm, I don't know, this means I'm up one now." Cynthia said.

"Up one?" Alex asked.

"Oh sorry, up one friend more." Cynthia said. "I'm up to four now."

"Oh shoot, I hope she wanted to be friends and doesn't feel weird now." Cynthia thought.

"I have five friends I will have you know." Bill said.

"Who? I can only think of four and that's being generous counting Casper and Kryptos." Cynthia said. "Just accept your defeat."

"Why the hell would you even count Kryptos?!" Bill said looking annoyed by the thought of him.

"Wait you know Arnold Kryptos?" Alex asked.

"If you mean met him, yes. If you mean hate him, yes." Bill said.

"Oh you're just mad because he's better than you." Cynthia said. "Besides you seem to have a mild annoyance or hatred towards your friends so I figured."

"He is not better than me, I am amazing." Bill said.

"Alright, just keep telling yourself that love, self confidence is a very important thing." She responded.

Alex laughed though her laugh was added to by Sam and Max who were entering.

Cynthia looked like she was going to start panicking but tried to calm down quickly.

"Okay calm down, you've talked to these people before." She told herself though she knew she was still anxious even if she didn't show it. "Does that make me more nervous of them? The fact that I want them to like me? Okay not the time to discuss psychology."

"Morning." Max said light heartedly.

"Good morning." Cynthia said with a smile.

Bill didn't seem totally sure how to act around them either.
