As the summer came to an end Scott and I were as I said, inseparable. People around town had started calling us the dynamic duo. Scott and I were perfect opposites. Scott had dirty blonde hair with blue eyes and my hair was as black as a Ravens feathers and my eyes as green as emeralds.
On the first day of school Scott walked me to my class and assured me that we would play at recess and eat lunch together. As I walked into my class I felt all eyes fall on me. I felt like a sheep in a lions den. "Welcome," the teacher said. As I took my seat I could feel the blush of my cheeks deepen. I couldn't wait to see Scott. When the bell rang for recess I ran outside to find Scott waiting for me. "Well hello to you too," Scott said as I barreled out the door. "So, how is class going?" "Horribly," I answered. "Give it time. You won't be the new kid forever." Scott replied.
After recess and lunch I felt better, but I knew that I had to go back to class. With my head hanging down I slowly sauntered back to class. All I wanted was to be back at home, with Scott. As the day ended I again found Scott waiting for me. We rode the bus home and to school everyday together.
"Well, you made it through your first day!" Scott looked at me with his warmest smile. I had made it, but I really didn't want to go back. "I have an idea," Scott always had a plan or scheme up his sleeve and I could tell by his face that he was planning something big.
