Damien dressed in a black turtleneck and jeans dumped his bag on his bed in Wayne manor. Now fourteen years of age Damien had grown four inches and gained some weight. He wasn't obese, quite the opposite actually as Damien looked unusually muscular for a boy his age. With his five foot seven frame he looked like a teenage model. Of coarse he looked eerily similar to his father at this age. Damien respected and even admired him but he did not want to live his fathers legacy.

Damien laid down on the bed and slowly closed his eyes. He saw a dark haired women dressed in purple and black. He knew who the women was, it was a close personal friend. He awoke to a knock at the door. Damien slept very lightly, it was a skill he learned being trained by his grandfather in the league of assassins.

"Come in." Damien yelled from his bed. A large board shouldered man appeared in the door way.

"How was your time with the team son?"

"Didn't particularly care for it."

"Oh really?" Damien's father asked with sarcasm in his voice."You didn't share some special moments with a special someone?" Damien scowled his father fiercely. Bruce laughed at his sons guarded expression.

"That's awfully assumptious of you." Damien snarled. Bruce sat next to him on his bed making Damien became more guarded and crossed his arms. Bruce placed his hand on Damien's shoulder prompting Damien to look away.

"It's ok to like a girl Damien, starfire told me how you are around Rachel."

"You mean she told Dick and Dick told you."

"Yah I suppose your right. However Dick found his first love when he was in the teen titans to."

"I don't like Rachel like that, we're just teammates possibly friends at most."

"Damien your getting older and your going to discover feelings for women just like every boy your age does."

"What like you? Your practically a male harlet, every time I come home it seems like I'm shaking hands with a different women." Bruce looked away feeling offended by his sons hurtful comments.

"Damien my job doesn't allow me to have personal relationships with women. Living a double life as Bruce Wayne and batman takes up almost all of my time so I'm forced to fill my needs however possible." Damien's demeanor softened. Damien knew his father was wise beyond many years. He also knew he had conflicted feelings for Raven that probably needed counciling.

"Have you ever wanted a real relationship, like getting married and having a family?"

"Every second of every day."

"With who?"

"Well your mother was one of them." Damien's heart warmed at the thought of having a perfect family. Unfortunately that was impossible." Then me and Diana had a thing for awhile."

"What, you and Wonder Women had an affair?"

"Well not exactly an affair since neither of us were in a relationship, but unknown to the public me and Diana did temporarily pursue a relationship. Unfortunately she claimed I was too distant and ended it. Anyways the point is that it's okay to have feelings for a girl, you don't have to be ashamed of your affections for Rachel."

"Who said anything about me having affections for her?"

"I've noticed how you are around her Damien, your unusually happy and optimistic. When your with the team starfire tells me you spend all of your time with her exclusively." You've never liked spending time with people."

"It's not that I don't like to spend time with people, it's just I've never met someone who entertaining enough to hang out with."

"Uhhh huh, so you have no affections for her whatsoever?"

"For last time father, no I don't."

"Ok that's good, because she's attending Gotham academy and I volunteered to be her guardian while she does so. She's going to be spending a lot of time with us."

"Your joking!" Damien stated as the life began draining from his body."

"Not in the slightest, she's going to be here tomorrow to get settled in."  The heat sapped from Damien's body, he felt an alien sensation. His skin tingled and he felt a panic in his chest slowly growing.

"Do you think that was the most appropriate coarse of action father?" Damien asked nervously.

"Just looking out for a girl in need son." She'll be a junior in highschool as you'll be a freshmen so can learn what schools like together."

"You enlisted me in school?" Damien shouted.

"Don't raise your voice at me Damien!" Bruce shouted back."if your going to be successful your going to need proper education."

"I've already learned from Ra's. He said I've learned more in ten years than most human beings in they're lives."

"Yes, but do you have documents confirming you have received adequate education?"

"No, but I've had more than just adequate education."

"Then school should be easy then. You start next Monday so we go school clothes shopping Saturday."  With that Bruce got up and left the room. Damien had so many questions but he knew he would have to wait. Damien felt strongly about Raven. He's known her for two years and she was the only reason he tolerates being apart of the teen titans. He couldn't deny being emotionally attached the the demon hybrid. They both shared a common goal to shed they're dark past and build a better future. Damien saw that as guiding humanity to a new age of order and tranquility.

He wanted to offer people an opportunity to be more than they are naturally. Damien identified himself as a natural born leader, a sheapord of salvation but his father was reducing him to the status of a normal teenager which he was far from. Damien laid back down and slowly closed his eyes but instead of dreaming he went into deep thought. Creating scenarios of having Raven live with him. He knew his father was the generous type but offering a demon half breed refuge while she attended school was a little over the top. Damien knew his father was leery as much as generous to people so he'd probably set ground rules and make multiple contingency plans for every possible scenario. Batman always preached that preparation is a prerequisite of victory. As he imagined the now sixteen year old girl he couldn't help but feel optimistic, going against his entire nature Damien felt somewhat excited for the future.
