Damien walked the halls of Wayne manor aimlessly reading Moby Dick. He didn't particularity enjoy the story but he did enjoy its historical significance. Damien was a true student of the past carrying on ancient traditions from ancient cultures like his weapon of choice the Katana his grandfather gave to him. As he read he made his way towards his fathers office where he heard two familiar voices. He opened the door to reveal his father talking to supermans alter ego Clark Kent. They both turned to see Damien standing there with a intrigued look on his face.
"Damien come here And introduce yourself to my friend Clark." Damien proceeded swiftly next to his father and shook the mans hand.
"Hello Damien I'm Clark Kent from the daily planet. I'm here to interview your father."
"Really? Your not discussing justice league business or contingency plans for Raven if she goes full on demon?" Clark gave Bruce a hard stare letting him no he wasn't pleased.
"So you know who I am?" Clark asked sternly.
"Please, you'd have to be a fool to not put the connections together and besides your disguise isn't very misleading." Clark looked unsettled, not many people know his secret identity and to have a wild card like Damien know it was troubling for him. He trusted Bruce with his life but his son had a dark past.
"In that case we'd like to talk to you about Rachel." Bruce said breaking the tension.
"What about her?"
"Has she displayed any threatening gestures or actions?" Damien recalled when she talked about her displeasure towards the normal females during there first day of school a few days ago. Her skin took on a slightly reddish tone which means she's turning into her demonic form.
"No, nothing I've seen. Why?"
"Well since the incident with Trigon we've taken interest in her powers. We don't know what she's capable of or how much influence her father has over her. If she decides to turn on the populous, the results would be catastrophic." Bruce stated.
"Don't you guys think your a little paranoid?"
"No Damien were aware. Powers like those cant go unchecked, that's how people get hurt." Clark said raising his voice. Bruce gave him Clark a warning look as if he didn't appreciate him yelling at his son.
"Whatever, if your so scared of what she can do why don't you just talk to her about it. Rachel's perfectly ethical."
"Well we can't get anything from her because she might not tell us the whole truth. If I know anything about interrogating and I definitely do, it's that people will give you false information to make you think your safe. She can sinister intentions and we wouldn't have a clue."
"And what about me? I vouch for her. Doesn't that mean anything to you?" Damien said with anger in his voice.
"Well we're afraid your opinion might be a little biased."
"What's that suppose to mean?" Damien snapped.
"Alright I think your done here, go to your room son." Bruce said sternly.
"Wh-"
"Go to your room!" Bruce said interrupting Damien. Damien obliged and walked out the room slamming the door behind him. Damien entered his room and began pacing back and forth breathing heavily. Damien knew what they were implying and that aggravated him. Rachel's his friend of coarse but he never lets his emotions get in the way of logic.
"She's not even that important to me." He grunted.
"Who's not that important to you?" Rachel said leaning against his door frame eating a pop-tart."
"Does it matter?"
"Not really, you just seem distraught."
"My fathers being an ass!"
"Hmm, more daddy issues?"
"Your gonna lecture me about daddy problems?"
"I have actual issues with my father, yours are just petty and even somewhat ridiculous."
"You just need to mind your own damn business." Rachel giggled at Damien's outburst. His boyish charm made him appear somewhat rebellious which Raven admired.
"Hey I'm just asking? No need to get all hostile."
"Yah whatever." Damien grunted. Rachel cleared her throat breaking the awkward silence.
"So uhh Damien I got a favor to ask."
"Yah and what would that be?"
"Well this boy at school keeps hitting on me and I keep telling him I have a boyfriend but he wants meet him for some strange reason."
"That's just weird. To be frank that guys probably a rapist and serial killer."
"Isn't that a little much to presume. I mean I know he's weird but it doesn't mean he some psychopath."
"What teenage boy asked to meet a girls boyfriend just because she turned him down. I think he's playing a bigger game than just jealousy. But anyways I kinda need to you to um- well kinda pose as my boyfriend." She said the last part in a high pitched squeak. Damien got a shocked look on his face which didn't surprise Rachel in the slightest." So is that a yes?"
The next day at school Damien and Rachel walked together side by side. The plan was simple just find the boy and walk past him holding hands. If worst comes to worse introduce Damien as her boyfriends. Rachel spotted Marcus and quickly grabbed Damien's hand and laced her fingers through his. Damien blushed for a brief moment then put his regular scowl back on. Marcus immediately noticed them and gave them an intense stare as he approached them.
"Shit shit shit." Rachel thought." oh hey Marcus this is my boyfriend Damien."
"Nice to meet you Damien. You look a little young."
"Yah I'm fourteen edging on fifteen." Damien said nonchalant. The boy giggled.
"Your dating a freshmen?"
"Yah you got a problem with that?"
"He looks like your little brother." He said chuckling.
"He's not my little brother you asswhole!" Raven snapped.
"Then prove it!" He said smiling. Damien and Rachel faced eachother nervously and began leaning in hesitantly. Their eyes closed and their lips touched softly. At first it was awkward and even somewhat uncomfortable. Eventually the longer they kissed the less the thought about it and the more passionate it became. Damien wrapped his arm around Rachel's waist and she wrapped hers around his neck. They got lost in the sensations of each others touch that they didn't even notice the bell had rung and Marcus was gone. They heard someone clear there throat and they broke their kiss. They looked to see a middle aged man in staff uniform.
"So yah that's gonna be PDA."
